We loved this. I bought it for my daugthers 4th birthday and it was perfect. I ended up buying a couple extra ones as gift for friends. It's similar idea to Jenga, but i think I little more creative

I purchased Suspend as a Christmas gift for my 7 year old son. Our family plays Jenga a lot and we love it, so I thought this might be a variation on the stacking game idea. We played it 3 or 4 times at my request as my son knew after the first time that he didn't like it. I thought we should give it a chance. First, the game is actually quite large once it's set up. It might be better to try playing it on a linoleum floor rather than on a table top. Every time one of us would try to place a piece, all the wires would crash down. I don't think we stacked more than 5 or 6 pieces at a time before it would fall apart. The pieces didn't balance well, which I realize is part of the challenge, but it was awkward to the point of not being fun. Wanted to like it, but was disappointed and it was definitely a no-go as far as my son is concerned.

This game is genius. It's highly portable, easy to set up, versatile, and simple to learn. It can be collaborative, competitive, or both. Best of all, it is one of the rare games that works equally well for school-aged kids and adults, making it a great choice for family games.
I'm sure it's not what Melissa & Doug intended, but it has immediately obviously appeal as a drinking game too — I gave this to my eight-year-old nephew for Christmas. All the adults loved it so much that we ended up "borrowing" it from him after he went home and playing about eight more rounds. We will be buying our own set!
One note - The game really is for eight and up. Most younger kids could play with the pieces and have fun, but wouldn't have the eye-hand coordination to be successful in a competitive game.

We had heard great things about this game and we're excited to order it for our upcoming camping trip. My daughter played this game in college and highly recommended it. The package arrived quickly from Amazon, but the base of the game was defective. One of the holes for the support was missing. I called Melissa & Doug on a Sunday and had a prompt return call the next day. I explained the problem and told them I was hoping to have the new part in time for a family vacation 4 days later. The part arrived in time as promised. We are having fun learning the game and can't wait to share with the extended family. would buy again just based in the great customer service at Melissa & Doug.

The manufacturer says it's for kids ages 8 and up, but I think that is a bit high. I got this for my 5 year old niece who is able to enjoy it, and a little bit younger kid could probably enjoy the toy (perhaps not playing exactly by the directions). But as an adult, I also enjoy playing this with my family. It's a simple, fun game where you try to put different sized pieces on your structure without it collapsing. I would recommend to any family or kid 5+ or a 4 year old to just enjoy the pieces.

Feel free to leave questions and I will gladly answer them.

Great game to play as a family, but also as a 1-person game. My 6yr old will spend an hour in her room stacking and balancing the pieces; challenging herself to be more creative.

I'm glad I didn't send the game as a gift though. The first one arrived with packaging that had obviously been opened and taped back up in a sloppy manner. I returned it because the wooden base of the game was missing a hole for the support leg. A new game arrived quickly and in good condition.

I just got this in the mail and used it at my birthday party that same night. We LOVED it! It's very fun, and there are a lot of variations that you can make up. They give you beginner, intermediate and advanced play options. We played beginner once just to get the hang of it, and then intermediate from there on. It's fun, engaging, and fairly quick. Great ice-breaker too for people who may not already know each other. I will likely be buying more as gifts for people in the future...
