Rainforest 100-Piece Floor Puzzle

We bought this puzzle for my then 2 year old as he had mastered the barn puzzle (which is also amazing). There are monkeys, tigers, butterflies, and numerous other jungle animals. I had to look up several of the animals as I was not sure of what they were. This was a good educational experience for both me and my son. This puzzle is durable as are all of the M&D floor puzzles. It has been stepped on and thrown across the room by a highly rambunctions child. I have had this puzzle for over a year, and it looks great. I rotate this puzzle with the other Melissa and Doug floor puzzzles that we have. I recommend any of their floor puzzles as they are great quality and have easy to handle pieces for kids. They are a great opportunity to teach about different subjects and teach new words to children.

We love this puzzle but it is a 48-piece puzzle not a 100-piece puzzle... wrong info in this site.

100 pieces is a little more involved but by no means to hard for an enterprising 2-3 year old. I would think fun for older kids too. My son has enjoyed doing this puzzle about 40 times.

Got this a couple of years ago for my daughter who is now almost 7. It's really a beautiful puzzle and so many different animals. Long life and lots of fun.. She still likes it.

I purchased this puzzle for my 4-year-old grandson and made a great choice. The puzzle has large pieces, making it easy for young fingers to hold. The thickness of the pieces helps to keep them from bending and breaking. The bright colors offer keep a youngster engaged, and offer "clues" for the adjacent pieces. The best part, however, is how, when finished, the puzzle is 4 feet long--what a senses of accomplishment for a young child!

my child loves puzzles so i got this knowing it would be a step ahead. great puzzle, however the photo insert that comes with it does not match the actual puzzle so this is confusing for my child! contacted the company but they did not respond.

Grandchildren just about wore it out putting it together so many times....

The Melissa & Doug floor puzzles are a favorite with our grandchildren and their parents. Everyone is on the floor or at a table putting the puzzle together. My granddaughter was putting these puzzles together from age 2-3 years old. She loves these puzzles! I bought the Rain Forest Floor puzzle for our house. A great way to keep the grandparents minds alert too. My granddaughter who is 5 now will tell you to put the outside pieces in place first. My grandsons put them together and then study the picture. This product is sturdy and of good quality.

Our 3 year old LOVES puzzles. She has the 48 piece floor puzzle by Melissa and Doug that is of Ocean Life. Well, she mastered it and knows it by memory now, so we got her the 100 piece puzzles (3 of them) as more of a challenge. She loves them.
The animals are fun offering up a change to talk about each animal. The durablity is excellent.
The only complaint I have is that the picture to help put the puzzle together on the Safari on in particular is SMALL. The others (rainforst / ocean) have a paper inside so you can see the full puzzle better.

This is the same as the 100 piece "under the sea" puzzle except , of course,the picture. My 3 year old enjoyed the "Under the Sea" but he didn't like this one because he thought the pictures looked kind of "scary" to him. This is still a great learning puzzle with a sheet showing the names of the animals which are not that common. He likes to point to the animals and ask "What is this?".
