5.0 out of 5 stars Educational Fun!
My 3 year old loves all 4 puzzles. He learned his colors from doing the colors puzzle. I had to help him at first, but shortly after he was able to do them by himself. I didn't think that he would enjoy these puzzles as much as he has! Another thing I like is how sturdy the pieces are. They don't bend easily and you can even put the puzzles together on carpet. 3.0 out of 5 stars not like other Melissa & Doug puzzles
The packaging leaves something to be desired. All four puzzles come in one box, the pieces jumbled together. True to its name, it is a floor puzzle and does not have a wooden board (like other Melissa & Doug puzzles) to build the puzzle on. The pieces are however, the same good quality, nice and thick. The size of each piece is also larger (jumbo - as the name suggests)...

I recommend this for beginners and to parents who want their young ones to start learning their basics.

My daughter received this puzzle as a gift when she turned 2 and she could do it quite easily by herself so I suggest buying it for a slightly younger child. She's 3 1/2 now and still loves to do this puzzle. It's very durable and still looks shiny, new and has no bends or tears. It's really well made. We love to buy this as a gift for friends now because we've had such a great experience.

This is my daughter's first puzzle and learned to do puzzles with it. The colors are very bright and attractive. The pieces are large and easy for the little hands to handle. The designs range from really easy (the color theme) and more challenging (the alphabet theme). A great puzzle all in all.

I don't have problem with the fact that all pieces are mixed in one box. The pieces are stamped on the back with shapes representing each design. It has been a great way to teach my daughter to sort based on the stamps. And once she has the pieces for a particular design picked out, we enjoy counting them to make sure all 12 pieces are there.

great for the beginner puzzle maker, working on learning to put multi-peice puzzles together. The peices are nicely cut so that designs from one picture continue on to the next peice allowing the child to more easily identify the placement of the peices. Even one of my almost 4 year olds at my day care who is having a really hard time gettin the hang of multi-peice puzzles was able to do the color puzzle, on her own.

I was worried the theme would be boring, but the 3 and 4 year olds loved them. And we have been putting them together many times.

My 2 year old nephew is really into floor puzzles right now and he only really likes two of the puzzles that come in this pack - the colors and the shapes. The other two puzzles do not separate the letters and numbers the way I think they should to teach him the order of the alphabet and number system. He gets confused about which piece comes next, since he knows his alphabet. He does not understand or like that A and N are on the same piece. In his mind they should be separated. The shapes and colors are his favorite next to the counting catepillar one that I also gave to him.

My 2 year old daughter loves her puzzles. I had to show her how to put them together once, put them together with her once, then she was doing it on her own. She gets so excited when she completes one of the puzzles and enjoys the praise she receives from me when she puts them together. I'm glad I did not wait until she was 3 yrs old before giving it to her. After a few weeks of putting out one puzzle at a time for for her I started putting out the entire box and she had a brand new adventure of first separating the puzzles herself then putting each one together. After she finished all four she ask for more. I'm thankful that Melissa and Doug make such outstanding puzzles for little ones. It is more than worth the money. My daughter also likes the fact that she can recognize certain objects in the puzzles like the animals in the ABC puzzle and number puzzles as wells as the different shapes in the shape puzzle. She has not started recognizing colors yet but she still love that puzzle. My 9 month old likes to chew on the puzzles and they are still intact so it's a very good value. A MUST BUY!!!!

We bought this for my son's 3rd birthday this June and he loves them. We did them together the first time and then he said, "Leave me alone. I'll do it by myself." And he has everytime. He loves putting them together than telling me what is on the puzzles. Excellent puzzles, nice sturdy design. Doesn't matter that they are all in one box. I think it's easier to clean them all up that way. He always does all 4 at the same time, so it's not a problem. Will definitely buy for gifts.
