The paint is fine and easily washes off of any surface, including skin. My only word of caution, is if you are like me and didn't pay close attention to the volume in each pot of paint, you will surprised at how small they are. Each one is about the size of a small jar of glitter or a shot glass. Not very useful for toddlers who need 2-3 colors in a large (spill-proof) jar. I planned to pour these into spill-proof jars, but there isn't enough paint to do this. If you have older kids who use a variety of colors and small brushes, this product is quite good.

I purchased this set for my 4 year old son just for some painting fun. I didn't mind that the containers of paint were small -- I didn't want to purchase larger-sized paint bottles and/or have to mix my own to get the variety of colors contained in this one set. It so happened that my son had a small project for his preschool where we put the paints to good use. We also used it for finger-painting and we still have some paint left over for at least another small project. My son had so much fun with all the colors.

great set, smells much better than similar set from crayola, which make it favorites for me. These have less amounts and obviously won't last long; the color palette is also great, although lacks brown (have to mix red and green for that). My 4 year old enjoys these for our little projects.

I ordered this paint set to add to my daughter's paint colors. Nice colors that give her options beyond the primary colors. Even great for mixing and creating your own colors. The case you store them in is very sturdy. Colors last a long time.

Bought the Melissa & Doug Easel w/chalkboard on one side, painting on the other for our grandsons 3rd Birthday. It came with basic color paints but bought this set to give him more colors. He loves it.

Buyers beware, these are very small bottles of paint. The paint is fine and if this is the size you need, then all is good. Just know it won't last very long at all especially if your little ones really enjoy painting.

I bought it for my 5 years old daughter . she likes painting and was so excited to receive them . she is happy,the paint is good and she doesn't want to stop painting!

Good paints. I like that the tops screw on tightly.
I didn't realize that brushes had to be bought separately! Other paint sets I've purchased came with brushes so I assumed this one would. It might have helped for Melissa and Doug to write somewhere 'brushes sold separately'. Other than that, no complaints.

My daughter has enjoyed this product very much. She really enjoys the case that came with the paint. She has painted every day for the past several weeks!

My grandchildren really enjoy painting. This is one set I purchased. I also purchased Melissa & Doug's Deluxe Poster Paint Bottles to use with the paints. There is no mess.
