This is an adorable toy, and a great addition to any play kitchen! Our daughter loves to "shake" these spices on her play food, and then she finds the correct space in the wooden rack for each one. The spices are different sizes, so she has to find the correct lid for each one by looking at the size and color of each one. This is great fun!

I bought this set to accompany my children's deluxe kitchen. However, it was way too big. Though it is definitely durable, it is not very realistic in regard to size and actual appearance. It has the shaker sound effects, but it is not like Mommy's spices.

My children 2 and 3 had such fun with this! They cooked, played vet shampooing the dog, really cute toy. BUT...not as durable as I'd have thought for Melissa and Doug. The tops (not lids that are removable) blew off after a couple weeks and the little beads that made the shake noise came out. Chipped easily and looked old and worn with typical, moderate play.

we ordered this cute spice rack through amazon, via kaplan early learning company, for our 15 month old's play kitchen. it arrived with a faulty part but kaplan replaced the entire set for us, no questions asked. it is brightly colored, the lids are removable, and the spices rattle. each lid has a different number of dots for counting, and the spices fit neatly into a wooden rack. our son seems to like it, and it will be good for counting and teaching color names and color matching (by putting the appropriate lid back on each "jar"). if you are looking for cute sturdy wooden accessories for filling out a play kitchen, that are also educational and fun, we would recommend this!

This spice set is the cutest toy! Our daughter has most of the M&D accessories for the kitchen set but this is always a favorite. All the kids enjoy taking the lids off the spices and shaking the bottles. They even made them so that you hear a shaking sound when pretending to spice up the food. The tops of the bottles go in a number sequence as well. I would absolutely recommend this toy.

Fantastic! Plus the tops have dots (1-5) as the "holes" where the spices would come out and it's great to teach counting and sequencing.

Hi, i dont have any kids, but i was looking for a spice rack, just like this for my kitchen, anyone who has owns this spice rack, do you think that i can use it to mount it on my kitchen wall to store few of my spices? this is exactly similar to what im looking for, but for a less price. i've researched online, but they are pretty expensive, so someone please inform me i would appreciate it.. thanks

I purchased this toy for my daughter 6 months ago when she was almost 2, She has played and played with them. They have been a wonderful addition to or play kitchen. She loves to "cook" with them but more importantly she loves to sort and color match with them. My 7 year old has moved on to easy bake but all of the 2-4 year olds who come over love them. After 6 months they still get tons of use and have held up nicely.

Our son loves shaking the spices on his play food. It fits perfectly on the shelf of his wooden Little Tikes play kitchen. The only reason I wouldn't give it 5 stars is because I wish the lids were magnetic, but otherwise great!

I thought the toy looked great but my toddler was bored of it within a few days. Once he mastered the color caps in the correct order he was "done" playing with it. I really need to stick to toys that have multiple uses.
