I purchased this paper for an easel that is made by a different brand, therefore it was larger than the easel surface and hung off the edges a little bit. This is no problem, just worth mentioning as it might irritate some. I am happy to have very large paper that my 3 year old daughter can cover with crayon, marker or paint. Exactly what I was looking to purchase.

The thickness of the paper is medium. It is not too thin to be fragile, but it is not thick enough to be durable for intense painting sessions. Again, just for your information.

Overall, very happy with the paper, as is my 3 year old daughter. Even though it is on an easel made by a different company, it has suited our needs perfectly.

I never write reviews but i felt so disappointed by this product that i had to. I love Melissa and Doug products but not this one. It is a very cheap thin paper, it falls apart right away, it is good for markers only may be but not for crayons or paint. It does not hold the color. It is glossy and slippery. it is just not good.

This is a pad of large sheets of paper. It's not really all that heavy, and my daughter's markers and paints would easily bleed through. Not a problem - I just rip sheets out and use the cover as a backing rather than letting her just open the pad and go at it. I suppose I was expecting a little bit heavier paper, but all in all this is perfectly functional.

I bought this for my son when I bought his easel. I didn't realize that the easel I bought had a spinning wheels so it's MUCH easier just to buy the paper roll of easel paper rather than this pad (which I didn't know when I bought it). Plus the shipping took a REALLY long time. I ordered it a few days after the 1st of Dec and it didn't arrive until 2 days after Christmas. In hindsight, I wish I hadn't bought it for the easel but it's OK because he uses it on the floor for coloring.

I have looked in all the stores and you can not buy this in any of them. I love this Easel pad as it fits perfect on my granddaughters easel. I have bought 4 of them so far and will continue to buy as needed.

It's simple drawing paper that fits well on our Melissa & Doug Easel. It's educational in the fact that it is used for drawing and allows the imagination to grow. It doesn't teach but it is used to teach oneself. If your child considers himself an artist then this will be used well. If not just stick with scratch paper. Just wait to buy when it is priced well.

I had hoped it would be the same width as the Melissa and Doug Easel, because when my kids paint on it, they often go beyond the borders of the paper, and onto the whiteboard, which then makes it tough to clean up..The easy workaround to that is to simply put 2 pages in the "background" to cover up the entire whiteboard, so that kids can then paint away on this paper or the rolls of paper that came with the Easel, and if they miss the edge, the paint won't go on the whiteboard..

I wanted to buy a useful, educational, sturdy gift for a 2 year old girl. This drawing pad and the accompanying M&D Deluxe Standing Easel (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002AUWKG) were the perfect gift. It's sturdy, it's secure, it's fun. And it's not that cheap plastic that my niece would outgrow in a couple years. The adjustable part of this will surely have her drawing and painting for years to come. She loves it!

* I read previously that this product was Made in America, which is part of the reason I bought it. However, it appears another Google search is telling me it's made in China. While I wouldn't let that stop you from buying it, it's disappointing (and I bumped it to 4 stars from 5).
