5.0 out of 5 stars Easy fun for kids
We bought a pair of these handy easel paper pads and pull them out on rainy or snowy days. The kids love using markers, crayons, foam stickers, glitter glue, whatever they get their hands on, and with the large 17x20 inch working space they can create their masterpieces for hours. At this great price you can afford to buy one for each kid and everyone is happy! We...

3.0 out of 5 stars paper kind of flimsy
I thought this paper would be a heavier weight that it is. I had hoped to use it for fingerpainting with my grandchild but it won't hold up to that.

The stand up easel is better used when painting.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good paper, overpriced here, December 18, 2008

Good paper from a reliable (relatively new) kid's brand. Their crayons are great. One thing though, this pad is available for five dollars less at my neighborhood kid's store, which is definitely not a big box discount store. So you can probably find this much cheaper than it is sold on Amazon, just about anywhere.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Sturdy, January 7, 2009

I was surprised to find that the paper was thicker than I thought it would be. It is great for when my daughter paints - nothing leaks through to the next page. Very nice product!

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice, but isn't the same width as the M&D Easel., January 6, 2011

I had hoped it would be the same width as the Melissa and Doug Easel, because when my kids paint on it, they often go beyond the borders of the paper, and onto the whiteboard, which then makes it tough to clean up..The easy workaround to that is to simply put 2 pages in the "background" to cover up the entire whiteboard, so that kids can then paint away on this paper or the rolls of paper that came with the Easel, and if they miss the edge, the paint won't go on the whiteboard..

5.0 out of 5 stars Very nice paper, even for a different brand easel, November 27, 2011

This review is from: Melissa & Doug Easel Paper Pad (Toy)
I purchased this paper for an easel that is made by a different brand, therefore it was larger than the easel surface and hung off the edges a little bit. This is no problem, just worth mentioning as it might irritate some. I am happy to have very large paper that my 3 year old daughter can cover with crayon, marker or paint. Exactly what I was looking to purchase.

The thickness of the paper is medium. It is not too thin to be fragile, but it is not thick enough to be durable for intense painting sessions. Again, just for your information.

Overall, very happy with the paper, as is my 3 year old daughter. Even though it is on an easel made by a different company, it has suited our needs perfectly.

We bought this easel pad to go along with the easel kit. Our 4 1/2 yr old daughter loves to paint on this and she enjoys turning the pages 'all by herself'.

The easel pad is durable, useful for our grandchild, and does what it should. It lets her draw and scribble to her hearts content, and then tear off a page and start on another!

My 4 year old is an avid artist and loves this paper for painting or coloring with markers and crayons. Its thick enough to use tempura paint but you will need to hang it up to dry. Overall, good paper for kids art projects :)

This review is from: Melissa & Doug Easel Paper Pad (Toy)
This is a pad of large sheets of paper. It's not really all that heavy, and my daughter's markers and paints would easily bleed through. Not a problem - I just rip sheets out and use the cover as a backing rather than letting her just open the pad and go at it. I suppose I was expecting a little bit heavier paper, but all in all this is perfectly functional.
