We got this for our daughter when she was 4 years old. She is now 5 years old and still has difficulty putting this puzzle together. She loves puzzles and has many of them (30 or so). This by far is the most difficult puzzle and in fact, the only one she needs help putting together. However, it is a beautiful puzzle which the whole family loves. We love talking about the different breeds of horses. I just think that amazon's age recommendations should be adjusted some. I think this would be better suited for a 7 or 8 year old than a 3 year old.

We love this. My little girl loves puzzles, but mostly she loves horses!!!! It is so large, we put it together on our floor, and have a blast doing so.
I intend to purchase many more of these type products.

I am very impressed with this puzzle. Like all Melissa and Doug products,the quality is exceptional. Nice pieces glued together very well. The picture is beautiful. My daughter (4) really enjoyed the puzzle and I am sure will put it together many times.

My granddaughter opened this last night for her brother's birthday. She loves horses and this puzzle is a beautiful one of horses.

This is a great puzzle. I must have overlooked the dimensions when I ordered it, though. I was shocked when I received a big heavy box, at least for a puzzle. My daughter,4, enjoyed putting it together, and it is very well made, although the dog was attracted to it and decided to chew on it. I purchased 3 of the Melissa and Doug puzzles and am very happy with the purchases, just not the dog, lol.

I bought this along with two other puzzles for my three year old grandson for Christmas. He really enjoys puzzles and seemed to really enjoy putting this one together.

I purchased this puzzle as a gift for my six year old daughter who loves horses. This is a beautiful, quality made puzzle. It is not too easy, but not too difficult...my daughter was delighted and proud that she could assemble the entire puzzle by herself...definately pleased with this purchase!

My 4-year-old grandson loves this puzzle. It is a little challenging for him, but he sticks with it and gets it done, and is proud when he finishes it, usually in 10-15 minutes. He loves doing puzzles, and this one is stunning! Anyone who loves horses will appreciate the lifelike qualities of the galloping horses! I would highly recommend this product. It is very high quality, and I'm sure it will last for years.

My daughter's favorite puzzle. She loves the picture and it is easy but challenging for her (3/4 years old). She is great at puzzles (does one once a day) and she plays with it every other day. If it was wood it would last longer but is holding up for now after 2 months.

Very durable pieces and a beautiful picture of horses. My four year old niece can work a great deal of the puzzle by herself. Great puzzle and price!
