Melissa & Doug Jumbo Paint Brushes are more than a set of quality, colorful art brushes. They provide the opportunity for differently abled people to have the freedom of painting once again, because these brushes are built so that they are easy to grip.

That is a value beyond price.

We gave my daughter these brushes to go along with her easel and paint for her third birthday. She can grip them well with her little hands and even paints with one in each hand sometimes. They are just right for a young child and seem to be good quality. Every once in a while when I'm cleaning the paint out, a bristle comes out, but it's not too often.

I'd recommend these to anyone looking for paint brushes for a child under the age of 5.

My daughter is 2 years old and she loves these brushes. They are perfect for her little hands. The quality is nice to. No bristles fall out.

Although these brushes are easy to hold for little kids the quality of the bristles is extremely poor. They don't absorb the colors at all (especially with the Melissa & Doug watercolors which are of equally poor quality) and it was very frustrating for my 2-year old to try to get color on paper. We used them once and never again.

These paint brushes are great for little ones hands. I dislike the
ones that have the pointy ends for under 2 thru 4 year olds. But I
was disappointed that after I paid so much on-line, I found them at Borders for only $[...]. I had never seen them prior at any retail store until after I bought them. Oh well...the grandkids love them and I love seeing them be creative and not afraid of a mess...it all cleans up!

I got these and once my daughter took them out of the packaging the handle fell off of one of them. These are made as cheap as possible. They even cost reduced the glue to hold it together? How cheap is that? Returning back to Amazon.

Both my 19-month-old and 4-year-old enjoy using these brushes. My older child paints a lot at home and my younger child wants to join in but the brushes I found elsewhere were way too small and fine for his small grip. The Melissa & Doug brushes are big and easy to hold and clean. I was surprised that the brush handles were made of light plastic instead of wood, given that these are from Melissa & Doug, but the lighter weight is fine for both children and is appropriate especially for the younger child.

My 2.5 year old loves these brushes. The big handle is perfect for little toddler hands to grip well and the brushes are thick and sturdy. No little straggly hairs falling out all over the place so they hold paint well and don't make a mess.

I purchased these brushes for my child based on the quality and durability experienced with other Melissa & Doug items. I was surprised to find that the handles of these brushes were made of hollow plastic and not wood. The bristles are also very poor quality. They are functional, yet poor quality for the price.

We bought the Melissa & Doug Easel with paper for painting and chalkboard on other side for our grandsons 3rd birthday. I purchased the Jumbo brushes because I think they are better for little hands. Grandson loves them.
