I have a serious issue of not reading the size of a product before I buy it, so the large size of this puppet was a wonderful surprise. The puppet looks like you spent a large amount of money on it (though we know otherwise) and is great for big and little hands. The hand stick can be removed if you have a little one like myself (be warned they will use it as a weapon). I bought several so make sure you have a bag or cubby for your puppets otherwise you'll find them all over the floor (the child sized duffel bag I had was too small for five, only two or three fit). This toy is great during story time, and both my husband and my son have enjoyed creating stories. The table top stage is a great addition, but the back of the couch or just sitting together works just as well.

Melissa & Doug stick puppets are a favorite in our house. Not only do my children use these puppets for characters in homemade videos, they bring them on long trips to "look" out the window and add an element of excitement to a road trip. The puppets are durable and well-designed for imaginative play.

I bought this puppet with the Melissa and Doug puppet theater for my 2 year old and 6 year old. This is a great durable puppet that stands up to pulling and tugging of regular play. It is also very easy to use.

We bought a whole set of these puppets for our 6 year old boy. He loves them, and I'm impressed with the quality and affordability. We're expecting years of fun for many generations from this purchase.

Ordered the Melissa & Doug puppet theatre and puppets for my nieces, 4 and 6. It's been their favorite Christmas present! We're getting non-stop entertainment from their shows and they're actually getting to use their imaginations!!!

Although my son really loves his puppet, I must say that I was a little disappointed when I received it. I expected the knight to have legs and an image on costume as originally shown in the ad picture, but other than his face the puppet was totally different... No legs and no image on costume... Because my son is in a puppetry class on Saturdays and it arrived just prior to the new session starting I didn't have the heart to return it. Besides that, he loved it! So, although it didn't meet my expectations, it's still a very nice puppet! And I have to admit, the price was pretty nice too!
