I like this set because you get numbers and letters for a reasonable price considering the quality which is quite good...I would definitely choose these sets over the cheap plastic ones because the backs are a complete magnet which makes them hold on without drifting down...The colors are satisfactory, except the blue on the numbers is more like a purple...You may want to refrain from giving these to a child who is still put things in their mouth because the paper fronts will dissolve and come off...

I love these magnets! My daughter loved playing with them at my sister's house so we decided to get her alphabet magnets. She's still in the stages of putting things in her mouth so I feared the plastic letters with small magnets, the magnet covers the entire backing of the letters so she's safe if they enter her mouth. I didn't give them 5 stars because as great as they are my daughter has gotten them in her mouth and the paint/color wore off within a minute of me trying to get it out of her mouth.

We purchased this for our 2-year old son. He is learning to read and loves to count so I wanted to surround him with letters and numbers. I love that the magnets are the "sheet" magnets instead of the small magnets that I worry about being a choking hazard. The fact that they were Melissa & Doug was a selling point too - we've always been happy with their products.

The color coating seems to come off rather easy.
At first I really like these. But then one of the letters got wet and the color coating started to wash away. Any kind of moisture seems to have a bad affect on the coloring.

Garbage!

This product came defective and only had the numbers in it so I can't fully review it. The numbers had an extra amount of the number one in it.

Melissa & Doug Deluxe Magnetics Letters & Numbers
These numbers and letters were purchased for my 2 year old granddaughter. She loves playing with her ABCD's as she calls them. She can already spell out her name. Great purchase!
