I wanted to buy my 3 yr old who loves to dress up something other than tutu's and princess dresses so I went with this policeman costume. I know others have complained about the buttons falling off and I do expect that will happen with time however my experience with costumes and dress up clothes is that they're often made cheaply and flimsy which I do not find this one. The jacket material is thicker than any other dress up clothes that I have seen. I think the quality is wonderful when comparing it to other dress up clothes. I also think it'll help teach my daughter that girls can be more than just pretty princesses. She'll love it. I can't wait to give it to her for her birthday. Every day is dress up day in our house so I am sure it'll get a lot of use!

my niece loves her police costume. she handcuffs me all the time and loves arresting her older brother as well. the costume is good quality.

Great outfit and looks very cute on my son. The only negative comment is that 3 buttons came off easily within the first 2 days of use. Otherwise, the costume is durable.

My son loves to be the police man and arrest his dad. The only thing is, the handcuffs are flimsy. They broke as soon as my son put threw them on the floor, and it was not a tantrum or full force...

Our grandson loves the police costume and all that goes with it. He wears size 6, and this will fit him for quite some time. We're pleased with the quality and appearance of this costume.

I babysit two very energetic boys, aged 4 and 6; those boys love them some dress up. The police officer costume is one of their favs, along with the M&D Knight one. The handcuffs were not awesome, but these boys used pretend-laser-magic ones that they much preferred almost immediately, before the plastic ones were lost/broken/disappeared somehow. It has been over a year since I started watching them, at which point the costume was already well-loved, and they still wear it almost every week.

My favorite part of this costume HAS to be the badge though. We live in Philadelphia and it is a Philadelphia style badge; my best friend is a Philly P/O and his badge is IDENTICAL to this one. unless you are holding them and can tell which is plastic, there is no difference. I think It's hilarious.

I also labeled it as educational, because we go over types of crimes and punishments and interrogation style. It is a really good way to teach the 4th Amendment if you're nerdy like me, or actions and consequences if you're a normal person. Or if you're my best friend, it's a good way to teach a friend's kids how to properly apply handcuffs (to their babysitter :/ ). ... and that you don't actually have to read suspects their rights.

All in all, this costume has put up with some high-energy, active boys and they still love it. It's the one costume that ends up in their room as opposed to their costume bin, every week for at least a year.
