5.0 out of 5 stars Great for homes and classrooms!
As a teacher and a parent, I highly recommend this item. It's perfect for the classroom because it doesn't take up a ton of space, yet it holds twelve puzzles. It's also pretty inexpensive for a storage case, not to mention that the class actually likes to put the puzzles away with this case!

I'm buying one for my house, as well. It has tipped ends that won't scratch...

Be aware... this product no longer includes the red rubber tips pictured in the description. I called Melissa and Doug and they said it had been some time since they changed the design. They recommended protecting my wooden shelves from the metal and could not tell me why the design had changed. The product is a nice storage solution for puzzles, but may scratch up...

I'm buying one for my house, as well. It has tipped ends that won't scratch my hardwoods, which makes my husband happy, and it means that I can buy a couple of more puzzles because they store so easily, and more puzzles, of course, please my children.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for puzzles, January 28, 2006

I highly recommend this to anyone who has the standard wood puzzles. We needed something to hold all of her puzzles and this was perfect. It will actually hold puzzles a little bigger than what it says, as long as the length of the puzzle fits within their parameters. The wire openings allow you to put puzzles in the rack that have a bigger width than they state. It will not hold any of the sound puzzles by Melissa and Doug because they are too thick. It is also easy for your little one to take the puzzles out of the rack on their own and not make a huge mess.

The product is a nice storage solution for puzzles, but may scratch up surfaces as it slides around a lot. I put a rubber grip shelf liner underneath and that seemed to help.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Product, August 8, 2005

When compared to having your puzzles stacked on a shelf, this puzzle rack is awesome. Before we had them stacked neatly on a shelf, and the boys hardly ever played with the puzzles because they couldn't see them. Now, the boys can see each puzzle, and often pull out the one they want to play with. The challenge now is to get them to put them away, too. 8)

2.0 out of 5 stars not worth the aggravation unless you only purchase "standard" size puzzles..., February 25, 2006
This review is from: Melissa & Doug Puzzle Storage Case Single Wire (Toy)
I thought that this would be a great solution for organizing my son's puzzles, but unfortunately it was anything but - it only fits the "standard" size puzzles and will not fit the thicker melissa and doug puzzles, its "legs" that it stands on are not capped with anything to protect the floor and/or your child's safety - needless to say, I returned this to the store and went back to using a box as storage.

5.0 out of 5 stars Single Wire Puzzle Rack, November 27, 2004
This review is from: Melissa & Doug Puzzle Storage Case Single Wire (Toy)
I bought this item for my 2 year granddaughter last week. This rack works so well for those hard to store/stack wooden puzzles. My daugther "in-law" took one look at how nice the puzzles were stored in this rack, that she suggested that Nana get Jolene one for Christmas to have at home. I plan to do just that.

2.0 out of 5 stars Puzzle Rack ~ Not what was advertised, June 25, 2006

We were unfortunately dissappointed with our purchase. We loved that it showed rubber stoppers for saftey and for our hard wood floors ~ they didn't come with it. Further, Melissa and Doug puzzles don't fit.

I wanted a way to store my 2-year-old's wooden puzzles (mostly made by Melissa and Doug) so that they would be organized and she could access them as needed. So far I've been pretty frustrated with this wire storage.

It doesn't seem to fit puzzles well and they get stuck when taking them in and out of the slots. I can deal with this (although it's annoying) but my daughter is pretty much unable to remove and store the puzzles because they do not go in and out smoothly.

Also, it slides around on the shelf, making it even more difficult to remove and put back the puzzles.

So, great idea, but needs some adjustments so it really works.

1.0 out of 5 stars Puzzles don't fit well - hard to put in, easy to fall out, August 11, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Melissa & Doug Puzzle Storage Case Single Wire (Toy)
This does not fit standard size puzzles well. We have one of the puzzles pictured, and it does not fit! From the picture you can see that it is a trapezoidal rack. The front end, where you insert the puzzle, is too wide. It is not until you have the puzzle about halfway back that it actually is resting on both sides. This makes it very easy to accidentally insert the puzzle on two different levels. The puzzles then slide around quite a bit, making it easy to try to pull one puzzle out and have 3 more come crashing down with it. We are returning this rack immediately. This is probably a flaw in the redesign. As you can tell, most of the negative reviews are from when it was redesigned without the pads. This should be listed as a new item on Amazon, because the reviews are very misleading. THIS IS A NEWER MODEL - NOT THE SAME AS THE ONE GETTING THE GOOD REVIEWS! We went to Target today and bought the Circo puzzle storage rack. It was $19.99, which is more expensive, but it comes with 4 puzzles. So, it's worth it overall. And the Circo rack has a nice tight fit to secure the puzzles, but not so tight that little hands can't get them out.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wire Puzzle Rack Raves, June 29, 2006
This review is from: Melissa & Doug Puzzle Storage Case Single Wire (Toy)
This puzzle rack was exactly what I was looking for. The puzzles I ordered fit easily, even the ones with knobs on top to pick up the pieces. This is a great way to organize your child's or grandchild's puzzles and keep them intact.
