My six year old daughter got this for Christmas. She loves clothes and fashion and stickers so this toy was met with high hopes. She and I played with it and I have to say, although I like it, it could be better. The stickers come with a "be careful" warning and I would say heed that advice. If your child is not careful pulling these off, they will rip and the outfits will be "ruined". I like that there is so much to choose from, but my daughter would have liked the set more if there were enough dolls to wear ALL the clothes. On each page there are more clothes than dolls so a few clothes need to go unworn...a difficult decision for my six year old and one that leaves her feeling unsatisfied. They are stickers so they STICK. You cannot pull them off and change outfits like paper dolls or Colorform style stickers. So, the unused "clothes" are kind of a waste. You could pull the clothes off and stick them on a sheet of paper and draw a head and limbs on them, and maybe my daughter will eventually do just that. But for immediate gratification it would have been nice to have a sense of completion...all the outfits being stuck onto all the dolls. I can already foresee me hanging on to a partially full book of stickers because they cannot be put on a doll but my daughter won't want to throw it away either. It's a good toy but with a few more "dolls" it would have been better.

My daughter is almost 3, and she LOVES stickers. This set is perfect for both of us. She's happy to have so many options for "dressing" the dolls, and I'm happy that the stickers are pretty, without being Disney princesses or fairies.

At this age, my daughter needs help with the stickers, so we always do them together. Even though the stickers are made of nice glossy paper, they will catch and tear if she tries to remove them from the pages herself. Usually I remove a doll sticker first, and she places it in her little spiral notebook. Then she picks an outfit, and I help her "match" the colors and patterns for a cohesive look. She has to scan the page to find a black & yellow hair bow, for example, to go with the black & yellow dress and tights. Most pages contain complete outfits that definitely match, if you look for the matching pieces.

The sticker book is plenty big, and it has 10 pages: 1) princess and fairy costumes (NOT Disney-like), 2) casual dresses, 3) skirt sets, 4) outdoor playwear (summery outfits), 5) outerwear (full outfits with jackets, coats, sweaters to go over them), 6) party dresses, 7) sleepwear, 8) swimwear (with cover-ups) 9) dancewear (basic ballet), and 10) sweaters and pants. Each page has 8 doll stickers (total of 80 in the book) with 8 coordinated outfits per page. Each page also includes matching accessories like purses, scarves, shoes, tights, sand buckets, and hair bows.

The only thing that bugs me slightly is that many of the outfits will require covering over other stickers - for example, the outerwear page also contains shirts, and ALL the shirts from that page will be covered up by the coordinating jacket stickers! The stickers can be removed/repositioned, but only if a parent VERY carefully unsticks them. A few pages also have a couple extras, so you'll have a tutu or a purse left over when you've completed all the outfits for those pages.

The most conservative parents won't be offended by this. (Not at all like so many of the mindless fashion dress-up sets that are available for preteens.) The outfits are pretty, relatively timeless, and practical - not plasticky, commercialized, or overly frilly. There are a couple of simple bikinis on the swimwear page, but if that really bothers anyone, you can easily stick with the one-piece suits or cover the bikinis with the cover-ups. Although the outfits don't attempt to represent other cultures, there is a wonderful variety of skin colors and hair types.

I bought this just for fun, but I can tell that it is helping my daughter learn so many things: matching colors and patterns, fine motor skills (getting the dress to line up with the shoulders), beginning left/right concepts (the socks & shoes have to go on the correct feet), simple reasoning (putting the shirt on BEFORE you put the jacket on, or the tights on before the dress). I think an older girl would love being able to do the pages by herself, especially on a car trip (it does require bringing a notebook to place the stickers in). But it's perfect for my 3-year-old & me to do together, too! Highly recommended.

I bought this for my 9 yr. old daughter for Christmas and she LOVES it. She is having so much fun putting together the outfits. She makes the dolls on paper, and then draws backgrounds for them. She's having a blast sending the pictures to her pen pal and to my mom. What a great product!

I got this for my daughter because she loves picking out her clothes (she's 3). She loves this sticker pad more than any other sticker I have ever gotten her. When we make birthday, valentines, mother's day, etc. cards - she always puts these girls on the front of the cards. There are so many different girls and outfits - it is fantastic! BEST STICKER BOOK EVER!

We bought this for our six year old to enjoy while we were traveling. We like the idea that it was not a messy project she could play with in our hotel and at Grandma's. I love it too! Even our two year old made a few dolls (with some help). We made the dolls on a blank piece of paper and drew backgrounds with markers. Since, we have purchased 2 more to give as gifts along with the Melissa and Doug coloring books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dress-Up Sticker Fun for Girls, July 12, 2010

This sticker pad includes over 600 stickers in ten large, full-color pages. The stickers are arranged by theme. The themes are: Princess and Fairy, Casual Dresses, Skirt Sets, Outdoor Playwear, Outerwear, Party Dresses, Sleepwear, Swimwear, Dancewear, and Sweaters and Pants.

This book is an excellent value for the price.

My daughters are five and three and this book gave them hours of enjoyment in a cooperative task on a rainy day.

Each page has eight sticker dolls to dress. The dolls range in design, covering many ethnicities and hair styles. Each page has different dolls. There are enough sticker 'clothes' and accessories for each doll to be fully dressed with an outfit, hair accessory, shoes, and more.

The stickers can be a little tricky for younger children as some of them are small (like the shoes).

However, there are not any background scenes in this pad, only the stickers. You will need to provide the construction paper or background medium to use. My girls used these with blank card stock to make cards for their friends.

My 5-year-old daughter loved playing with these fashion stickers and spent hours with it.

After getting a piece of paper, she would first pick out a 'girl sticker' and then proceed to pick out the shirt, pants, dress, tights, socks, shoes, hat, gloves, etc. to "dress" the "sticker doll" (similar to how I played with paper dolls as a child). After all the 'body stickers' were gone and she had other stickers left, she would draw a girl on a piece of paper and then use the stickers to "dress" her. It is nice that the set contains different themes (for ex. a full page of 'fairy' stickers, a page of 'beach' stickers, a page of 'winter clothes,' etc.).

She had such a good time with them (over many days), I bought a second one and gave it (along with a pad of colored construction paper) as a birthday present.

An improvement would be making the stickers repositionable (once you put them on the paper, they are hard to reposition or remove without tearing). In fact, my 3-year-old daughter tried to do some and was very frustrated by the positions she put the stickers on and the inability to move them, so I would recommend this sticker set to older children (4-5 years and up).

LOVE THIS! It is so great for a long car ride or an activity to take to someones house. There is no clean up and no parts. You just pick a girl and pick things to dress her in. Page after page. I really appreciated having this activity with my 3 year old to do while I was nursing twins. She could sit next to me and we could play with it. Can't recommend it enough for a 3 year old girl.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great fun for my 9 year old!, January 10, 2012

Great product & bang for my buck! My daughter is 9 years old and I thought might not be interested in it, but she loves it!

We have been playing with this together for the last couple of nights. We each choose a few doll stickers & place them on blank paper. Then we take turns choosing outfits for our dolls. After we're done dressing them up, we write a short blurb next to each one - we make up a name, age, and make up a few interesting things about each character. We take turns reading our descriptions and trade papers to look at each other's creations.

My daughter loves this so much that she wants me to purchase another one so that we can continue our fashion & creative writing play. Great quality time with my kid. Thanks, Melissa & Doug!
