We just got this for our son and we've used it a couple of times already and it's so much fun (for him and kinda for us too!!), the wigglers are soft so he can grab them and a couple of times he's stumbled down on them and they give. Highly recommend it for the heat-and yes, you can get the same result from a sprinkler but this is so much more interesting!

I looked high and low for a fun, DURABLE sprinkler for my 2 year old son. After much searching, I decided on this model, and I couldn't be happier. I purchased a cheap little $5 flower sprinkler at Walmart (that fell apart within a week), and after seeing just how much my boy enjoyed it, I new I needed a better one. This little sprinkler is so cute, and if you have a girl, there's a flower version. It's thick and sturdy, and in the month we've been using it, we've had no leaks or problems with pressure.

Just a heads up though, the little worms do NOT move around when the sprinkler's in use. I wasn't sure from the picture since it looks like they may move or twirl around, but they don't. I don't mind this, but some people out there may want the twirly type sprinkler. Overall, my son loves this, and I ABSOLUTELY recommend it if you're in the market for a kids sprinkler that you'll be able to use for many years...not just one summer.

Some of the reviews have indicated a problem with the height or amount of water with this sprinkler. I have two water sources; one on the house plumbing, which is pressure-reduced; and one directly from the city supply, which is not pressure-reduced. On the house supply, the sprinkler only sends water up about 5 inches; much too low for a fun time and a lot less than one would expect. On the city supply, the water rises about 10 feet and the sprinkler works great. Our daughter has so much fun with it.

So check your water source before you buy. If you have pressures over 75psi on the line, you should be good. But if you are down in the 50 to 60psi range, you will not have a good time with this product.

This sprinkler is adorable but that's about it. I actually went out and bought a cheap rotating sprinkler afterwards and my son has more fun with that because the water moves. With this sprinkler the water doesn't do anything but pool in one area. If you have a child who is scared by the moving water of a sprinkler than this product would be great, otherwise just get a plain old lawn sprinkler.

My two year old thought it was cute, but my 4 year old and 7 year olds thought it was boring. Maybe if the water pressure at my house were better, the sprays coming out of the sprinkler would have gotten over a foot off the grubs.

This is the cutest sprinkler! It's perfect for toddlers. My boys love filling up buckets of water from it and moving the worms around. It's soft enough that they can't get hurt by falling on it. Also, the spray is low and not "scary" for small children. We have put it in a small wading pool as a water feature for them. You really can't go wrong with a Melissa and Doug product!

This sprinkler is cute, but the water only squirts about 3 feet or so. Regular lawn sprinkler would be more fun.

Thought this was very cute, but when I went to turn it on, the water would barely come out. I checked the water pressure with another sprinkler, and it was fine, so I know it was the Melissa and Doug sprinkler that was not letting pressurized water out. I used this for my 1-year-old because the water flow is so gentle, but I would not suggest getting this for any child over 2. By the way, this product is pretty durable. My two older boys who manage to destroy EVERYTHING have only succeeded in ripping off 1 of the little grub heads.

When I originally bought the toy I thought the water would swivel around and make it funner for the kids, so I was a bit disappointed. However, the kids were NOT disappointed and they will play in the sprinkler for hours at a time. It works great, and as long as you have good water pressure the water goes pretty high. I would definetly purchase this toy again if I needed a new one!

I chose this product over other sprinklers because I trust the quality of Melissa & Doug products. Our 4-year old son enjoys running through the sprinkler, picking it up and trying to spray others with it and placing it in his kiddie pool. Also attaches easily to our hose. Look forward to having this for many summers to come!
