I nearly gave this puzzle 4 stars, but it's really a nifty little jigsaw, and the colors are gorgeous and vibrant.

My main positive is that it's not extremely difficult, but at the same time it's not one of those puzzles you just solve without thinking about it. The sun pieces are the toughest to figure out, and this makes it a nice challenge. My son and I are enjoying this as part of our studies on the solar system and we've returned to it again and again (not only are there different planets, but there's part of the Kuiper asteroid belt, a comet and a nebula). We're homeschoolers, and puzzles are a fun way to learn, so I'll be buying more!

I do have one wish--that the manufacturers wouldn't cover up part of the puzzle on the lid of the box. Part of the picture is blotted out with the words: Solar System, 100 piece, 14" x 19" Jigsaw Puzzle (upper left hand corner) and that's a little bit bothersome. Too bad they couldn't put this info on the side of the box, or at least show the same size picture in its entirety elsewhere (there are pics of the whole puzzle, but they're so tiny they're hard to see).

It's only a slight negative--and again, my son and I love this puzzle--but the lid thing is kind of like having a photo of your family, and cousin Alfred is blurry or his head's obscured by a tree.

I got this puzzle for my 5 year old son who really wanted a 100 piece puzzle. I was worried because allot of other puzzles with that many pieces are to small and fall apart when you put it together. This puzzle has larger pieces, made very well and durable. Like most of Melissa & Doug items, this is a great one.

This puzzel is wonderful. My children are just becoming interested in "outer" space and this gives them a interesting picture of our solar sytem.

We are definitely fans of Melissa & Doug puzzles. They are quite sturdy! We know they will last for years for us and still have life in them to be passed on to another family. My son loves this Solar System puzzle.

I like the puzzle. It's a little much for my 4 year old, but we can put it together as a team. He likes it and is happy to have it. The seller was fabulous. I received the product immediately, without any trouble.

This is a good puzzle, just that the sun is a bit challenging. My 3 year old just started doing 100 piece puzzle with help and she only wants to do stuff other than sun, not sure if it is because it is challenging or she looses interest. Usually she finishes all her puzzles including the other 100 piece sponge bob one, but this one she doesn't want to finish.
