Typical of this manufacturer, the cardboard pieces are strong and durable. The graphics are a high quality printing. Without abnormal abuse this puzzle will last for many years.

The puzzle is shaped like a Tyrannosaurus Rex. It is large. Will be loved by dinosaur fanatics like my son!

I highly recommend all carboard and wooden peg puzzles by Lights, Camera, Interaction for their durability and high quality.

My four year old grandson has had this puzzle for two years and has probably assembled it over 100 times! He still loves it more than any other puzzle we've given him, probably because it's in the shape of a T-Rex. I highly recommend it for any dinosaur loving child.

This is the coolest puzzle ever. The pieces are big and very durable. My son got it for Christmas and plays with it almost every day. He's 3 1/2. It's challenging enough that it keeps him interested, but not so impossible that it's frustrating.

My son is great at puzzles, he is 2 1/2 years old and he loves this puzzle. He learns the planets and can put the whole puzzle together himself. These puzzles are great because not only does he have fun just putting them together he learns off of the pictures. The sun, earth, starts and the other planets.

we purchased it in 2003 and our son is now 6 - he still loves to do it! it's very well-made (as are all of Melissa & Doug's puzzles and toys) and the colors are bright. the fun part about this particular T-Rex is that he's not rectangular, so there's an additional challenge to putting him together. we love him!

My 4-year-old son got this puzzle as a gift, and he loves it. He likes it as a take-along activity (anywhere the floor is clean enough to play), and even took it to his daycare for show-and-tell. His cousin (age 4) looks for it when he comes over, so I bought him this and another Melissa and Doug puzzle. These are high-quality, sturdy puzzles - the best I've seen.

The Melissa and Doug puzzles are wonderful. They're so durable that they will last for many years (perhaps generations!). Kids love the big puzzles; they are easier and more fun than puzzles with tiny pieces. They especially love shaped puzzles like this one - it's somehow more fun to put together a puzzle that's in the shape of a dinosaur than one that just has dinosaurs in the background. This is a gender-neutral toy, because boys and girls alike love dinosaurs. The price is reasonable, too; where else can you find a toy that's fun and challenging for $10? You might want to buy several - they make great birthday gifts!

My 3 year old son LOVES dinosaurs and he absolutely loves this puzzle! The pieces are large and thick, so they're easy for a child to handle.

I bought this for my soon to be 3 year old as a more challenging puzzle than the 12 piece one's he had been playing with. (he actually broke the 12 piece puzzle pieces in half to get more pieces!).
I cannot be any happier with this product. The puzzle is bigger than i expected, but its size is so much more beneficial for my son, who is able to see the detail of each piece and figure out which pieces connect. He has been able to do the puzzle on his own in about 30 minutes, giving hope that the terrible two really are just a phaze.
As for the durability, This puzzle has been completed at least 100 times since opening the box a month ago, danced on, spilled on, and who knows what else when either my wife and i aren't looking, but the puzzle has maintained detail without any problems.
Even if the pieces started to rip tomorrow, for $10 (right now that means about 10 cents for each time it has been put together)i cannot think of a better way to educate my son, using patience and logic. Well worth it!

For young kids who are learning to move beyond the typical square puzzle, this is just the right type of puzzle. The pieces are big enough to easily manipulate and sturdy enough to withstand much puzzle putting together activity. It isn't so difficult that you will have to help your children and yet it is hard enough to offer a challenge. At a guess I'd say this would be too easy for 8 year olds. The picture is nice and bright as well.

Worth the money.
