I bought this for my first son when he was about 9m old, he is now 8yrs old. He quickly learned to point out the colors and shapes. Unfortunately some pieces were lost during a move but I was so excited to find it on Amazon for my 7m old baby. This puzzle can really show you how much your child is capable of at such a young age. Its really durable also and can withstand the chewing and throwing.

I think this is a great 1st puzzle for a baby. The big knobs are easy for young ones to grasp and it's a fun tool to teach basic shapes as well as colors. Nicely made!
