Melissa & Doug Fire Truck Sound Puzzle

I bought this for my son (age 3 1/2) about 2 weeks ago. He has played with it non-stop everyday for the 2 weeks. He really likes to take out one piece - put it back in and hear the fire engine sound. I like it as a parent beacause when you take out all the pieces you still have the picture underneath, so the children can remember where to put the pieces. It's next step up.

We bought this for our granddaughter's second birthday in September.She likes trucks,especially firetrucks.The sound is realistic,although it could last a bit longer.The pieces also fit in very tight.However,the first one we ordered(not from Amazon)was defective(no sound)so we had to wait for a replacement puzzle to be shipped.These puzzles are very thick and appear to be durable.Kiersten will be getting more of these type of puzzles for Christmas.

My son likes this puzzle. He is almost 2 and is able to put it together. However, sometimes the siren doesn't always work and I am not sure if it is broken or what. I have noticed that the price of this puzzle does fluctuate on this site. So watch for the bargain prices. I bought it for 4.00 and am wondering if that is why the siren sometimes works and sometimes doesn't.

Our fire truck fan loves this puzzle. He just turned two and still can't put the pieces together by himself but does ok with a little help such as positioning the pieces in the right direction before handing them over. And the price at the end, fire truck sound, that is great. It does not come with batteries like most toys do which was a bit disappointing opening during Christmas and finding the toy wasn't working. Make sure you put batteries in it before you give it as a present to a child.

I purchased this puzzle for my 3 year old grandson as a birthday present. He took all the pieces out and when he put the last piece in, it blue the siren and the fireman talked. Then he had to find if every piece did that. So he lifted up every piece one by one. It took him 15 min. to find out how the siren blew. He saw every piece had a sensor in it.The puzzle works just the way it supposed to. It is well worth the money. I wish I would have purchased it when he was 2 instead.

This is the best puzzle I have ever found. This and of course the train sounds puzzle.. My 3-year old twins think that these are the best puzzles since forever in their opinion.. They will sit for hours and play with these puzzles.. I can't wait until they get all the other Melissa & Doug wooden toys and puzzles we got them for Christmas.. These are A1 in my book and my kids'...

This by far is the best puzzle I have every gotten. The crisp picture of the fire truck is outstanding, and the sound quality is great once the puzzle is put together. It is a great learning tool for kids to put the puzzle together and once it is put together the sound comes on letting the kids/child know it was put together correctly.

Ordered this for my nephew and was so excited to give it to him. We put batteries in it right away and he started playing with it. Not even 2 hours later the sound stopped working! That's the main reason I had bought it because it made sound. And it only made sound after you put all the pieces in it. I thought each piece you put in would cause it to make a sound. Wasn't what I expected especially from this line of toys.

My son just turned 2 last month and was doing very well withe the Melissa & Doug shape sorter and chunky truck puzzles so I ordered this because 1) he loves trucks 2) I absolutely stand behind Melissa and Doug. Their customer service is fantastic! 3) I thought it would be more of a challenge for him. So far, he gets the obvious pieces like the big wheel and little wheel pieces and the windows. The other pieces are slot alike so he has a hard time sometimes, but overall the puzzle is great. I don't use the sound because my experience with previous puzzles is that it just confuses him. They are activated by the dark so all he has to do is slide a piece over the wrong area and it makes noice. This puzzle may be diff though; it may only sound when all pieces are together.

My son is a puzzle lover!! He plays puzzles designed for two years old since 15months old and now the one designed for three or four years old can totally entertain him! I enjoy seeing his little face with great joy after conquering those pieces! and we love melissa&doug puzzles!
