The kids love them and I love playing with my grandchildren with these dolls.

They don't bend at all... they can't sit down, can only stand & lay down.

I am deeply disappointed in this family. 1) The Baby is disproportionate to the parents, 2) they do not bend easily, 3) they can't sit down on the dollhouse furniture, 4) Their clothing is not removable and therefore cannot be changed, 5) they are unable to hold the baby, and 6) they are too big for my dollhouse (a six room victorian).

I bought these dolls to go with the KidKraft Georgia Peach Dollhouse and was very disappointed in everything about them. They look cheap, they don't move, their clothing is glued on, and their hair (after a couple of weeks of play) is a huge rats nest. I am with most of the other reviews in that I would have just ordered Barbie's instead had I known that these dolls were such a rip off. I can't even believe that they are selling them like this.
My daughter still plays with them, but gets annoyed and asks for help every time she tries to sit one down at the table or on the couch.
I would recommend NOT to buy these and find something else!

Having three 1:12 dollhouses I know a thing or two about dollhouse dolls. Yes, they are hard to find. This would be because years ago there actually were collector dollhouse enthusiast stores that carried from the inexpensive to the expensive. Now you have to go online or a big box craft store with limited selection. At any rate, my now 35 year old daughter went through a few sets of dolls as did my now 22 year old. They are meant for mild play. No they don't sit "natural" but neither does a full sized play doll. Amazon does have a jointed set of dollhouse dolls as well and they sit somewhat better. The nature of them being a small scale leaves not much lee-way in how well they can be constructed. Dollhouse dolls aren't constructed like full sized play dolls and you can't expect them to be. The hair used on the girl dolls is a fiber that gets "fuzzy" with handling. As to the issues some have with there being too small it does state 1:12 scale. That means 1 inch to the foot, the standard for wood collector doll houses. They are not Fisher Price sized or Barbie sized. The houses that go with the latter two I consider a toy as apposed to a wood prebuilt kit or a from scratch built wood 1:12 dollhouse. The dollhouse family dolls are inexpensive enough so if your child loves playing with her dollhouse expect to buy a few families while your child still has the interest.

I was really disappointed with these dolls. I ordered them to go with the Kidcraft Savannah Dollhouse. First off, they were smaller than the description. They were so cheap - the material they are made out of reminded me of the Gumby toys, only they're not as easily bendable. It's impossible for my 4 year-old to pose them for her dollhouse. Although she likes them, I wish I had purchased Barbies instead.

I purchased these dolls for my daughter (age 7) to use with her new dollhouse. These dolls were suggested with the Annabell Dollhouse so I thought they would be perfect for it. Surprisingly though, they are very small, they do not bend at the knee, their clothes are too big and they are too little for such a large dollhouse. I would suggest them for a much smaller house and only if you can't find dolls that bend better or have clothes that you can change out.

9 of 11 people found the following review helpful A Kid's Review on January 3, 2011
I bought these dolls despite the negative reviews. It is so difficult to find dollhouse dolls (we have the KidKraft Savannah dollhouse). I knew there'd be a good chance I'd be out searching for dolls AGAIN, and I am. One of the earlier reviewers compare the dolls to Pokey & Gumbie. That is a very accurate comparison. That is my biggest complaint -- not very bendable. I also want to warn buyers that these dolls are quite small. If you have a dollhouse that will fit Barbie-sized dolls, you will be disappointed with these.

I guess I'll be visiting Mattel's website in an effort to find my daughter a couple Barbies who are conveying a positive message... don't get me started!!

These dolls are a perfect addition to your 1:12 scale dollhouse. They have detailed features and are bendable so they can sit at the table and in chairs.
