This product was much less expensive than the "Thomas" brand, and is just as well made. I have purchased several "Thomas" pieces to add to it like the drawbridge, sodor scrub and wash, cranky, tidmouth timber yard, etc. The tracks are very durable and have lots of different combinations. We also added in the Thomas figure 8 tracks as well. The table is perfect and very sturdy. It can be used later on for something different when my son is over the trains. All the wooden Thomas trains work perfectly with the Melissa and Doug tracks.
