Had it for a month, so far so good; buying another one for office.

1. Froth
I love espresso, especially cappuccino, and have used espresso machine before with steam frother built in; I bought the machine from starbucks too, which wasn't cheap, however, this little machine produces froth so much better than I expected, much better than the froth from the espresso machine. The froth came out dense, creamy and sweet, just the way at espresso cafe. The bubbles are very fine, and dense, not large bubbles, with lots of holes.

2. Quality and Size
The quality is built well, inside is not flimsy, but well made non stick material, and cordless feature is great in the office or at home. Design is also sleek, and the size is perfect for frother, comparable to a normal frothing cup of a espresso machine, intended for one cup cappuccino or latte. I like that better, since it tastes better, one cup at a time, rather than one big pitcher. The machine is easy to rinse/clean because of non stick coating, and comes with 2 froth inserts.

3. Price and Value
I've been shopping for a frother for awhile, and looked at other comparables, nespresso, CBTL, handheld and starbucks; this one beats them all by value and price. It has three options, 1. hot froth (cappuccino) , 2. warm milk (for latte or hot choco), 3. cold froth (iced latte/capp); I was equally impressed with cold froth for cold iced beverages. So easy to use !! all the info you need is on the cap of the machine; tells you how many times you push the button for each setting; simple as that.

I got the Melitta frother a couple months ago on Amazon to replace a hamilton beach frother that broke. The melitta is easy to use and cleans easily. I really like that the heating element is on a base separated from the frother. The only issue I could see with these types of frothers is that the piece that froths the milk can break easily (what happened to my other frother). Overall, I would recommend this to use with a single serve coffee maker.

Received this product December 24 and it failed December 30 after a few uses to add froth to a single cup of morning coffee. Nice design and liked the separate base unit. Never got it wet, used only the frother. Now have an Aroma frother that cost $10 less but keeps producing excellent froth.

I bought three different Milk Frothers and ended up returning this one.
It did not produce as good froth as the others, I tried several different types of milk and the result was consistently not as good.
The product also felt very cheap and far from "solid" compared to the other units and finally, it was loud as opposed to the others that are virtually silent.
I cannot recommend this unit.
I gave it two stars because it does product froth, but it is not worth the money compared to other product available.

The other units I compare with is the Secura Automatic Electric Milk Frother and Warmer as well as the Nespresso.

I like the Secura best because it is half the price of the Nespresso model and in my opinion, better looking.

One last comment. Some people complain that these milk frothers get burned milk at the bottom. Well - it's milk - so you simply must rinse the unit immediately after each use and clean it with a soft brush right away. If you do that, it is incredibly easy to keep clean.

There is no teflon in the world that won't leave a thin film of milk at the bottom, but if you are careful not to scratch the surface, a soft brush will clean it right out.

Having had this frother for several months, we're well satisfied with it. It does what it is supposed to do, and does it quickly and well. What more is there to ask?

First thing put on your reading glasses and look inside for the MAX FILL LINE. That is the best advice for this frother. Other wise you will have milk froth all over the counter in no time. It works great and heats and froths. Instructions are pretty Idiot proof. I have used the heck out of this several times a day. No issues or problems. Just make sure you don't over fill..........

The frother works fine, does its job well....however the replacement parts are no longer stocked or available from melitta or hamilton beach. Hamilton Beach will refer you to an online parts replacement store and they do not stock it either. I lost the little frothing device down the disposal, it was slightly damaged but enough to make it not fit onto its spindle...its useless as is the appliance now that i can not replace the most important part....the frother!! How do they continue to sell this without backup replacement parts!?? There is a number in the manual to call for parts....big joke!!

I'm forced to trash it after only a few short months....it worked well. Too bad there are no parts...if you buy it, know that in advance!!

This frother works great but one drawback is that is makes a lot of noise. It only runs for about a minute or two but I do wish it was quiet.
It does work well though and milk is super frothy.

I should have returned this item, as it is a poorly designed product. The frother sits in the center of the unit, fixed in the center of the container, and so it makes it difficult to insert a spoon to scoop out the frothed milk. If instead you choose to just pour the frothed milk straight from the container, there is no pouring spout to accommodate that thus, the milk drips all over the unit. I have seen the Starbucks milk frother, which is a much more intelligent design in which the frother unit is in the lid. Therefore, when you remove the lid you have full access to the container and can insert a spoon to scoop the milk or you can just pour the milk without making a mess, as it has a spout. The only reason I gave it an extra star is that it does what it is supposed to do...warm and froth milk, and it does that just fine. But in conclusion, I would have to say that this Melita Milk Frother was designed with very little ergonomic thought as to how one actually uses the product - a failed product design.
