I've had this grinder for almost a year and hope to replace it this Christmas. It works, it just does not do anything other than a coarse grind, regardless of the 18 settings on the wheel. Pretty odd considering that you need a fairly fine grind to use with Melitta filters. It also makes a mess because of the static electricity when you try to empty the chamber. I found a posting online that suggests recalibrating the wheel by taking it apart, but haven't tried that.

Horrible static electricity causes coffee dust to "jump" from bin to any close surface. Even worse, the too small coffee chute gets clogged every 7 or 8 uses, forcing you to scrape it out with a pointy object. Tends to leak fine grounds on the counter during grinding. Tried various grind settings, all suffer from the above issues.
