John Mellencamp, the singer/songwriter has come out with an art book "Paintings and Reflections". In my opinion, Mellencamp is a true artist. By far alot better than other so-called artists. It is amazing at the talents this man has. He sings, paints, and takes care of his family. He isn't one of Rock's cranks anymore. He has matured throughout the years and I believe he is truly one of God's gifts. He's lived and learned, and has turned out to be an amazing human being. I suggest everyone goes out and picks up a copy or two of this book - even give it away as an Xmas present. If you know someone who enjoys art - they will love this book for years to come. I give this book 5 excellent stars.

The book is a must for anyone who enjoys John Mellencamp. All the proceeds are given to elementary school children for music. I think this is a great way for John to give back to his fans and to the world in general. Go get yours now!

John Mellencamp has proven himself to be a very talented artist. It is hobby he quotes and is something he does on the side.His pictures show life as he sees it and much like his self titled CD, his book reflects the same image.Very, very, very good book....

Well we knew he was a talented songwriter and singer, but who knew he was such a talented artist as well! And to top it off he is donating all the proceeds from this book to Music in the Schools. John expresses himself quite well in his paintings. I have always been a big fan of his music and his paintings just complement his music and allows me to understand a little bit more about John Mellencamp, the person.

Mellencamp isn't just a singer.. He can also paint, he can do wonders with colors, and its a great book... With stories and pictures, this book will touch many..

Many hours will be spent, sitting, and going through the pages of this art book. I have planned for it to be a Christmas present for at least two other people so far! Jayne Maxwell

This book is a must for any music fan, art fan, or John Mellencamp fan. There is a large selection of paintings, as well as text about Mellencamp and explanations of the paintings, themselves. It's a wonderful coffee table book.

What an Artist! Lyrically, Mellencamp has the ability to make the listener FEEL what is going on in the song, and relate it to his/her own life. He carries this talent into his paintings also. I don't know all that much about painting, but I do know that I can look at the face of any of Mellencamp's characters, and FEEL their pain, sorrow, see the hope in their eyes...

The book has alot of interesting paintings. Definately worth the money
