The studio half of the c.d. is the usual Herbie Mann. The live half is extraordinary. My wife and I saw Herbie Mann with Sonny Sharrock in Copenhagen in 1971 in a jazz club. Two opposite styles put together. Stunning. If you love jazz, this is the stuff.
