This product is so worth buying!! How could you not buy something so inexpensive that will save you so much time. I'm sure everyone has experienced the frustration of having to unscrew a hose when it's tightened so tight you just want to scream. Well not with this product, in seconds your detached! I tend you have to move hoses around or even just putting them away for the winter so this product is a blessing. I highly recommend this product! Not only do I use it for the connection from the spicket but to attach my water wand and sprinkler at the other end is a breeze to do as well. Anyone that says it's no big deal to unscrew this items ( the sprinkler, wand, etc.)is highly dilusonal because it is. With this product it's done instantly. A must have!

These are okay for hasty connections, but they leak like sives if the hose is at any type of angle.

This is a wonderful product. I found this works better than their similar brass product.

This set is a good substitute for quick disconnect ball valves, which are no longer available from Melnor (I bought the other brand of quick disconnect ball valve (sold on Amazon) at Home D., and threw it away when it would not seal at the threads). The only drawback is that the internal check valve in the "Stop" end connection is susceptible to slight leakage when side torques are applied to whatever is connected to it. The Melnor quality is consistent with my past Melnor quick disconnects, and superior to others currently sold.

I have a box in the lawn with a spigot in it. The spigot points down at the bottom of the box, and it's plastic. Two problems with that... one, it's a royal pain to thread the hose on there properly; and two, it's plastic - I was concerned that a single cross-threaded attempt would start to destroy the plastic threads on the spigot.

Then I stumbled upon this in a store while looking for something else - it's great! No more peering down into that dark box trying to see if the threads are going on straight, just click and spray! The spigot is hooked to the irrigation system and doesn't pass through the pressure reducer in the house, so very high pressure - and this thing doesn't leak a bit. Highly recommend it.

These are good quality garden hose fittings. They hold up well to rough use and keep the leaks down. Sure makes changing accessories simple. Don't leave them out to freeze. I usually do and wind up with several cracked each year. Other than that, I recommend them to all.
One other thing is you will need a lot more of one fitting that any other so it will take some experimentation.

I wish I had known about this product a long time ago. It has made watering my flowerbeds so easy. I have flower garden in the front and vegetable garden in the back .quick connect have made it easier for my 5 year daughter to take the hose out and play and then put it back..

Bic Superstore gets 5 STARS from me. I ordered 3 Melnor 15MQC 4-Piece Garden Hose Quick Connect Kit from Bic Superstore through Amazon. They arrived on time but mistakenly, I was sure a total of six pieces from the three kits was missing

Complaining to Bic, they were very patient with me in explaining to me that the 6 missing pieces were actually in the kits that I recieved. Ed

This Melnor 15MQC 4-Piece Garden Hose Quick Connect Kit is a handy gadget. With it, a gardener can connect a variety of nozzles to the garden hose in a snap or he/she can use it to make quick connections of the garden hose to different hose bibs. Furthermore, with a nozzle connected in this manner, he/she can rotate it 360 degree in any direction without twisting the hose. It is convenient. The quick-connectors usually last up to six months and need replacement when the O-ring of the male piece wears out. The female piece lasts much longer. I prefer to stock up the male pieces and change them when they leak. Amazon does not sell the male pieces separately, but one can buy them in home improvement stores. The kit comes with two sets of male and female connectors of different configurations but they do the same thing. It is a matter of personal preference.
