Only problem is the shut off valve doesn't completely shut the water flow off, just adjust from medium flow to high. Does a nice job of covering our lawn.

I have found these type of adjustable sprinklers sit low to ground so the grass rubbing on them interferes with them oscillating. Simple fix, set them on something flat. I use a low tray that garden plants came in (upside down so sprinkler sits on flat side). The adjustability of this sprinkler makes using a base under them well worth it! I can set this to water a long narrow flowerbed beautifully! Adjusts down to very narrow "swing" of water. This is the best sprinkler I have found so far because it is so adjustable. I was surprised how large an area this can cover too. And the coverage is very even!
Regarding the reviews that say they don't last. Prolly true. But in all my years of gardening I have yet to find a sprinkler that lasts more than a year or two unless you spend 3 or 4 times as much as this one costs. I would spend the extra money on one too, IF I could find one that I could adjust like this one. So I am happy enough to buy a new one every couple years.

I purchased this at Home Depot, but after barely two years the sprinkler nozzles begin to get clogged up. If you attempt to clean or open them up so they're able to stream water, they break off. The yellow nozzles have a rubbery feeling, which I should have known better was going to be a problem later down the road.

The nozzles that pump the water out becomes very worn down. Mind you, I took great care of it. Once I'd finish watering the lawn, I would store it away in a cabinet inside the house (I feared someone stealing it).
Lastly, the nozzles opposite to the main hose connection fall inward (literally inside the tube). I definitely won't buy one again and if I do the next I buy will need to have a steel nozzles.

If you like getting so mad you take a sledge hammer to your sprinkler then this is the sprinkler to buy! Seriously - at first it seems like a great deal - you get it all setup, turn the water on to the correct pressure you need - things look great, it has very good coverage, it's moving back and forth - so you go inside and set your timer but..... when you return to move the sprinkler to the next area you find the stupid thing has stopped moving and has flooded one area making mud puddles and soaking your wooden fence and wasting TONS of water and most importantly NOT watering the lawn you bought the darn thing for in the first place. Forever thinking all bad things are 'my' fault I decide maybe it's where I set the sprinkler - the lawn isn't real even - maybe that's why it stopped turning - so I move it to another area trying to make sure it's flat - nice and even where I set the sprinkler. Then I go through the whole process all over again. Sometimes it works fine - but the next time it doesn't - you never know if it will work or not. I got so mad I smashed the piece of plastic crap to pieces with a sledge hammer - didn't fix the sprinkler but I sure felt a heck of alot better!!!! :)

Perhaps it is luck of the draw. I mean after all, everything is mass produced in China and of course there are going to be rejects. But every now and again, you get lucky. I bought this thing 3 or perhaps 4 seasons ago. I forgot all about it and it sat in my greenhouse for at least 2 of those seasons. Just pulled it out and BAM! This thing is a work horse! Perhaps it depends on everyone's individual water pressure. I have extremely powerful pressure - last measured in at 85 to 90 at the nozzle.

I have a 20 foot by 100 foot front lawn and a 40 foot by 70 foot back lawn and another 15 foot by 30 foot side lawn. Nothing ever worked right. The pulsating types always over watered areas not needing it and the regular oscillating sprinklers always went to wide or not wide enough. With this one, I can set it and forget it - period. No - I am not being paid for this review :). In fact, I very rarely write reviews about anything until I return to buy it again (or am really pissed off about it).

So - to sum up - lucky or not - I'm going for another as ya can't find these at stores (near me anyway).

    Happy gardening...

It is very light, so worried it would not be stable on the ground, but it works just fine. I will order other products from this company.
