Buy this album, get every remix they've ever done.,

This album goes past the distinction of being my favorite. It was until a new one came along, but this happens about once every two weeks or so. What makes it special is that it will stay in my collection, in easy reach, until the plastic bio-degrades. It's funny how many people compared this album to Air. Air bores me to sleep most times, but I have to admit, this album is somewhat similar. It goes beyond that, though. I admired the the jazzy and somewhat loungy feel, along with the fabulous production values. Royksopp isn't afraid to add some dirty sounds, to round out the clean electronic vibe. The vocals are fabulous and even haunting. My favorite song is Eple, which I heard on a couple of chillout comps that my roommate has. I just bought the single. This song always ends too soon, and if this album has any flaw, that is it. Also of great note to me is "Remind Me". This songs vocals make you Feel Something. In fact, the whole album makes you Feel Something. I recomend getting a hold of their remixes too. Frost - "Endless Love" and Kings of Convinience - "I Don't Know What I Can Save You From" (tho only the Royksopp remix versions)are sparkling jems that any Royksopp fan should have.

This has to be my favourite album of the year and I've only just discovered it. There isn't a bad track on the album. It's along the lines of Air, Daft Punk, Lemon Jelly, and a little bit of Bjorkness thrown in for good measure. It's best described as chill-out dance, with a couple of tracks benefiting from some romantic vocals. There's even a Jarre sample in there; the production values are top notch.I don't normally agree when magazines vote an album as their album of the month, but in this case Royksopp deserve those accolades. Most of the pieces are around 4 minutes long except "Royksopp's night out" which is as grand as a Propellerheads James Bond style track and twice as funky. If you're into the Wall of Sound or Warp record labels, this album is unquestionably for you.

Absolute Chill-out Delight!,

I bought this album a while back without hearing any of the songs on it, but basically trusting the raves of others and not to my surprise it has been one of the best dance CD's that I have ever bought (and I have many!). The sheer brillience of the tracks and their distintc and highly original substance provides for a great chill-out album that I would recommend to anyone who likes their dance music down tempo and easy on the ears. The melodies of some of the songs, especially "Remind Me," "Poor Leno" and "So Easy" are so catchy that you'll find yourself humming along, but never to the point where they're stuck in your head to your annoyance. In my opinion this is a brilliant breakthrough CD superior to the likes of Zero 7, Faithless, and Afterlife. Definately one of the best albums of 2001 and soon to be 2002 stateside.
