Billy Vaughn Was an Absolute Musical Genius and This CD Shows It in his 18 Biggest Hits. I Have A Lot Of Billy Vaughn LP's In My Collection Worthy of Being Reissued on CD But, Unfortunately, The Original Masters Lie Untouched in the MCA Vaults, Collecting Dust. Whoever Came Up With The Idea For This CD Had The Right Idea! These Treasures Are Great!

You probably wouldn't believe me if I told you I was born in 1960 and I'm a notorious David Bowie fan. But when my father bought a cassete tape edition of Billy Vaughn's "Look For a Star", that was my introduction to easy-listening music. What makes this CD so special is the fact that it includes the original DOT recordings, when there are so many inferior rerecordings being sold all over the world. When is Varese going to give me a big present by reissuing "Look For a Star"? The title track is included in this compilation, but "Snowfall" and "Because They're Young" are missing!

If you have this Varese CD in your collection you are very fortunate! The musical genius of Billy Vaughn flows thru these great original recordings. A must own for the serious music collector. Happy Listening!
