Music for the Standardized forms,
By
This review is from: Tai Chi Melody (Audio CD)
This is not new age music for free-form taiji or qigong practice. Each of the tracks relates specifically to one of the five standardized Taijiquan forms comissioned by the Chinese National Sports Committee over the last 50 years. These works were composed specifically for these forms and are not intended for any other use.1. 88 Posture Yang Style Form If you're a practitioner of Standardized (sometimes called Orthodox, New Style, or Beijing Style) Taijiquan, these works are used to coordinate group performance of these forms, or as pace and time measure if such are used in forms competition (though none of the Standardized forms are truly competition forms). This particular performance of the works is one of the only readily available to the general public. Certain movements are hard to follow for timing, but in general it is good rendition of the compositions as compared to others I've heard.

Great for Tai Chi Beginners to Experts,
By Lenora Mercareth (Glens Falls, NY, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Tai Chi Melody (Audio CD)
When I took Tai chi my teacher actually used this music when teaching us the 24-style short form. I came on amazon.com looking for it and lo and behold it was the first thing on the list of results! I loved it because after awhile you can lose yourself in the music and the Tai Chi just flows naturally, your mind forgets about the stresses of the day and you are merely in the moment, lost to everything else, but the rhythm, the sounds, the flow of the movement. Tai Chi is very beautiful and great for relaxation in many ways and this music compliments the movements.

Tai Chi Instructor,
By A Customer
This review is from: Tai Chi Melody (Audio CD)
Very well organized and composed CD. Excellent compilation of songs specifically written for Tai Chi practice. CD offers great benefits for beginners as well as more seasoned veterans. I personally use this CD to instruct students (mostly beginners) and it offers a nice, easily followed pace, as well as being soothing listen. Great Product
