Encore, encore. More, more. Unforgettable characters!,

This review is from: Melody's Knight (Paperback)
Oh my goodness. I just finished reading, Bonnie Blythe's book, Melody's Knight. Can you say...Hot fudge sundae loaded-with-the-works on a hot summer's day! Fresh and crisp as early spring... and equally delightful!
Bravo, Bonnie. Encore! The characters were so much fun. The heroine is from England and finds herself in the most precarious circumstances. Curtains on fire, a robber, two men with obviously only one thing on their minds, a burning trash can, and much more. Avery, her fireman hero and neighbor, is always rescuing her from these zany mishaps. Oh trust me...You won't want to miss this one. These characters will be forever etched in my memory. Thanks, Bonnie, for the wonderful forget-me-not story!

Melody's Knight,

Although I am not an animal lover, I must say that Brarney (the dog) in this books was very funny. I think he is the one that got Melody and Avery together. Melody and her friend Nikki were two gals from England, and it was so funny how Nikki keep trying to set Melody up with guys because she was married and Melody was not. Melody got into more trouble than any one girl should ever. She didn't want Avery but he was always getting her out of trouble and I imagain you can guess how the end came out. Bonnie is a great writter and I wished it was a longer story it ended too fast, I read it in one night,

When Melody takes an evening run to pray about her future husband, it seems like an answered prayer when an engagement ring lands on her feet...literally. When Avery Knight's girlfriend turns down his proposal, he throws the ring, not seeing where it lands. When Melody returns the ring the next day (turns out they are neighbors), a friendship and flirtation develops.
I liked this book. The characters are great...unique and well-developed. Barney, Avery's dog, is a fun addition and serves as a great supporting character. Melody's love of fencing is also an off-beat but interesting part of the story development. However, the end of the story felt a little off....like it ended too soon with parts of the plot (like the crazy ex-girlfriend) not wrapped up. Still, I enjoyed the book. The colorful characters and funny situations made for a light, enjoyable read.

It was a cute, light story about a British woman living in Oregon--dreaming of finding the perfect cowboy to marry. The opening chapter had me hooked.
Some of the dialog was hard to follow because of some formatting issues in the Kindle edition. I also was completely lost with the Irish woman's dialog. It was too much for this American reader to follow. The book was much shorter than most of the novels I read. But, I thought the author did a good job of quickly introducing the characters and getting the reader to root for Melody's cause.

Searching for a sweet story you can curl up with for a quiet afternoon? Look no further. This sweet story touches the heart with engaging characters and a wholesome plotline--just what I was looking for... The sprinkles of humor and delectable real-to-life hero top off the story like icing on a cake.

I liked the book. I liked the story. I like the "transition of feelings". She adored him. He saw her like a sister, but then found he actually couldn't live without her. LOVED THAT!!! I found myself wishing it wasn't ending.
