Way better than I'd expected!, December 27, 2006
I bought this sheet set because it was inexpensive, and because I wanted an additional set for my bed but didn't want to spend a lot of cash. I had waffled between these and a different cheap flannel set (brand Pike Street, also on this site), The greater gram weight (150 vs. 135 grams) of this set is what decided me, and also since the other set had mixed reviews.
The quality of the sheets is really good-- I washed them before I put them on the bed obviously, and feeling them before I put them in the washer, they felt stiff and like denim-- upon removal from the dryer, they were soft, cuddly, and quite thick! No pilling (based on one wash) and really thick and warm, which is what I'd prefer from flannel sheets.
I cannot vouch for the wear of the sheets yet; I only got them recently but wanted to post a review so that others would know that they are very nice quality, and much better than I was expecting for the price!
Also, note that "oversized" is mentioned several times in the description-- this is not a misnomer! The flat sheet is a at least a foot longer than any flat sheet I've ever had before, and actually touches the floor if I don't tuck it in at the bottom! The fitted sheet has nice, deep pockets, and would probably fit a pillow top mattress well). It's slightly too deep for my non-pillow top mattress, but not uncomfortably so.
I got the blue floral paisley design, and find it very true to the picture. The bottom of the sheets is also attractive; white with the darker blue floral design showing.

Not alotta Bang... but not alotta Buck, December 8, 2006
$10, come on! Asian children must have really sweated these out. Labor concerns aside, these sheets do the job and are worth the $10. However, no one in their right mind would pay the retail price if they felt them first hand.
These are soft enough but nothing about them is at all luxurious. The top sheet runs narrow and quite long and the pillow cases are on the small side. The sheets do fit my queen size futon and average size pillows but I'd recommend getting the King size and just shrinking them some in the wash.
The print is nice, I was pleasently suprised, the earthtone colors keep it from being way too girly. With a green or blue cover these could look classy and even work well for a man.

Flannel Sheets -- Not Recommended, February 12, 2007
Even at the incredible Friday sale price of $4.99, I would not recommend these flannel sheets for purchase because of the very poor sewing workmanship. The stitches were very large, and also some of the edges were simply turned over once and sewn with a raw (easy to unravel) edge. The sheet would not hold up well after the first washing. I resewed all the edges of both sheets.
