MELTDOWN was another great 2099 book by the amazing John Peel. In this book, the evil Quietus and the even more evil Devon are closer to taking over the world. Only three teens, Tristan (who also happens to be Devon's clone), Genia, and Mora, can stop Devon. Meanwhile, on Mars, it seems there's another clone, Jame. Read the book to find out the rest - I guarantee you won't be dissapointed by this action-filled sci-fi series.

What is probably the most disappointing book in the 2099 series is still a book that readers will find difficult to put down, particularly because the plot races along with each passing chapter and the ultimate showdown grows closer... In 2099 #5: MELTDOWN the trouble for Tristan grows. He and Genia are trapped in a world so utterly close to its own destruction, a world in which meltdown is causing it to come to a shattering end. Is there anything they can do to stop the ultimate

destruction of Earth -- and its future?

Peel continues to shine in his newest series, 2099, with evenmore suspense and action. All his books have been great, particularlythe recently discontinued Diadem series. In this book, Tristan finally gets Shimoda to see the truth and contact Computer Control, but Devon has other plans for Earth... definitely go out and buy it.
