When looking for albums to relax with, I try and find lush rich sounds. I think Meme hits my sweet spot with very textured songs, which may be overproduced for some (like my wife). However the album rolls smoothly from one track to the next displaying a continuity many albums today lack. For what it's worth, I find myself listening to this album at work and when driving at night. The mood matches mine during those times very well.

Whispering electronics like feathers made out of electricity, kissing my skin, milosh's voice like warm dust blown along by wind, in the summer everyone's at the seaside, alone in the city, a duster singing, a sweet soft duster singing of love and regret and tears imprisoned in sidewalk paintings, like staring at a tiny speck until it becomes a world of it's own to stay in for a while, where secrets live freely. Married women becoming girls, married women becoming people, sleeping on the asphalt, forever falling inward backward, into self, like stepping off a ledge. It's strange how middle of summer can feel like autumn. Oh milosh.

I enjoyed Milosh's first album, but it didn't completely blow me away. With Meme, though, he's made his first real masterpiece. Using his breakup with his girlfriend as a starting point, he gets into all the post-breakup issues all guys experience, from lust and casual sex to guilt and loneliness. Ladies, if you want to see how the male mind works after you break our hearts, pick this one up. Subtle and beautiful, this will definitely make my year-end top 10. One to watch!
