L'ENSEMBLE RAYÉ is a group of jolly Swissmen who decided to synthesize the most fascinating tendencies of most unexpected musics. These partners surely don’t live on the same shore as, say, Jean-Luc GODARD. Their art evokes instead that of Jacques DEMY without words, or some talkative Jacques TATI or even some poetic Federico FELLINI. Humour, mischief and know-how blend there together in a caustic mixture. Amongst the numerous releases of the band, one could notice the excellent "Même En Hiver" (1989), reissued by the Gazul label. If you appreciate Fred FRITH, AQSAK MABOUL, Albert MARCOEUR or Lars HOLLMER, rush and get these references !
