law professor charged with conspiracy for atrocities in detainee torture,
By carol irvin "carol irvin" (United States) - See all my reviews (TOP 500 REVIEWER) (VINE VOICE) (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Law & Order Season 20 (Amazon Instant Video)
This season gets off to a good start with an episode featuring a former soldier who is killed. The likeliest suspect is a law professor whom the soldier blamed for the atrocities he had to commit in the latest Iraq war with detainee torture. The professor was hired by the Justice Dept. under Bush to write a manual on the legalities of torturing detainees. Sam Waterston wants to get the lawyer but the only route seems to be via a conspiracy charge. The use of Linus Roache as the prosecutor and Jeremy Sisto as the detective in an earlier season gave this show a whole new life which continues this season.
