Disgraceful rip-off,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Memoirs of the Court of Marie Antoinette, Queen of France, Volume 1 - Being the Historic Memoirs of Madam Campan, First Lady in Waiting to the Queen (Paperback)
In my opinion, this version of Mme. Campan's "Memoir" (both Volume I and Volume II) was nothing more than a poorly-researched "school paper;" it was a cheaply-bound, single spaced, shabbily-executed, poor cousin mishmash - lacking even justified paragraphs - the whole of which consisted of excerpts from Mme. Campan's original Memoirs, thrown together without regard for sequence and relying upon material from other sources, which might cause some to question if a free download from an on-line source comprises the whole of the work? Neither "Volume" was worth my time, my money or the paper it was printed on, though either might prove useful to prop up a wobbly table. In short, I could easily have produced a better and more faithful "product" using Wordpad (!) and materials from my own private library. Call me.
