Great insight of POW maladies and a resourceful doctor
A short story showing the dedication of an American doctor's fight for the welfare of POWs. A wonderful human triumph over an evil and sadistic enemy. The cruel and uncaring Japanese were unable to destoy the spirit of these men held captive as conveyed by Dr. Shabart's book. I find it very suspicious that this book is so similar to Alfred Weinstein's "Barbed Wire Surgeon".
