The best band you never heard of . . . .,

Until a couple months ago, I'd never heard of Betty X. I was looking up information on a few bands on Wikipedia, and they popped up in a list of "similar artists." I looked for more info, and everyone had good things to say about them, so I figured I'd check 'em out . . .
. . . this CD has been in my car stereo ever since. I do not like Metal, and I don't care for much of what passes as Industrial, but this works for me. Female vocals are clear, with intelligent lyrics, but VERY hardcore. Drums and beats are similar in some ways to Ministry's better tracks, but unique. Unlike the typical Ministry or NIN album, I'm able to listen to this entire CD all the way through without skipping tracks. All 9 tracks seem well thought out, with no "filler" to make space between better songs intended as singles. This is an outstanding CD. My only complaint is that the two prior Betty X CDs are impossible to find, as are CDs from her earlier band. I therefore advise you to buy this album while it remains available.

This is hard hitting music, one of my new favorite bands. If you are a Ministry fan, Hanzel und Gretyl, etc. you will enjoy this.
