5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful!!, May 21, 2001
By A Customer
Impressive, enjoyable, and educational, Dingle's fine book sits front and center on my crowded reference bookshelf. The quotations are arranged alphabetically, by author, so browsing provides insight into the authors quoted, more so than do quotation books that are organized by theme. I heartily recommend this superb reference and enjoyable read. Also recommended: Memorable Quotations: American Women Writers of the Past.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book!, April 12, 2001
This book should be required reading in high school and college English classes. As an educator, I was quite impressed by the selection of authors and quotations.
