Work well with DMRE50
Memorex diska have a spotty reputation, but all 10 of the ones I bought worked fine with the DMR50. By contrast, 2 of 5 CD Technology (really Princo) and one of 15 BeAll/Samsung were refused by the recorder. Are a little expensive, however, and I am continuing to try various cheaper brands to find one that offers equal performance at lower cost.

Poor quality
I bought a spindle of 10: in the box half the discs were with one type of plastic cover, the other half with another type, both of which cheap-looking. At least one of the discs was not recognized as valid media by my burner (Hitachi). I have bought before almost 100 Apple DVD-R discs and I never had one single problem. And their CD boxes look way more...
