great jump, July 1, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Memorex 512MB TravelDrive USB 2.0 Flash Drive ( 32507751 ) (Personal Computers)
I have two of these memorex jumps "thumbdrive." Both have worked fine and taken a lot of abuse as well! No problems with pc or mac, usb 1, 1.21 and 2.0. you don't need any drivers, just stick it in the usb and it comes up as a drive adn you can drag and drop. I have had problems with cuprrupted files on cheaper brands but never on memorex. Memorex support is great, I had one drive I crushed in a door (my fault and a strong enough impact to also destroy may car alarm gizmo) and they sent me a new one! I have had other brands (ironically the lexar "sport"), where the keychain holder broke, memorex is actually more study than most) Memorex jumps are also true usb 2.0 and there are a few cheap ones that aren't.

cap breaks, warranty replacement service brutal, January 8, 2006
This review is from: Memorex 512MB TravelDrive USB 2.0 Flash Drive ( 32507751 ) (Personal Computers)
I can reiterate other comments that the cap design is too cheap and flimsy and will break when on a metal key ring. I found this out back in July 2005 and sent in a warranty replacement form off the Memorex website. Several phone calls, emails, and promises later, I now have a replacement in January 2006. Obviously Memorex has acknowleged the flaws in this design and changed it for the followon product.

Very Durable, August 6, 2005
This review is from: Memorex 512MB TravelDrive USB 2.0 Flash Drive ( 32507751 ) (Personal Computers)
This drive is very durable, but the keyring loop is not. The loop that the keyring is attached to (on the cap) broke after two weeks of use. I have had the 128MB model of this drive for over a year and my mother just stepped on it last night, breaking the case apart. It still functioned properly long enough for me to get all of the data off of it. It has fast data transfers, even on USB 1.1 (backwards compatable from USB 2.0)
