5.0 out of 5 stars No Problems, other than what you get with any CDs
I've been using this brand/type CD for about 10 years w/o major problems. In the hundreds of burns I may have experienced one or two times when I got a "CD cannot be found" message and it was fixed by cleaning the CD. But you get that with all CDs. Not sure why others are reporting more serious problems, possibly the CDs are not compatible with their computers, which is...

1.0 out of 5 stars Does not work
These discs do not work with IOMEGA Preadator drive! Also, my friends who have other brands of drives are also having problems.

I recommend TDK and Imation.

Ok so I bought ten of these on this website and my CD Burner kept on saying that there was no CD in the drive. I oppened another one to see maybe it was only that one but that one didn't work eather, so I oppened the third one and it didn't work. I thought maybe it was my CD Burner so I came back to amazon.com to buy a new cd burner and then I just wanted to see the reviews for the cd-rw and when I saw them I understood that it wasn't the cd burner it was the cd-rws. I tried to see how I could retearn it but it says it had to be retearned within 30 days of buying them and today is the 31. Oh, I'm so mad. What am I going to do with these things? I can't sell them becase they are no good. So listen people don't buy Memorex CD-RWs.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't buy memorex CDRW's, August 25, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Memorex 700MB/80-Minute 4x CD-RW Media (10-Pack with Slim Jewel Cases) (Electronics)
Out of the 10 that i got, 2 burned successfully only after about 3 attempts (erasing and retrying). The rest of the cds had a dark band close to the center of the circle, after i attempted to burn something on them, and would refuse to erase, let alone access anything on the cd. memorex does make reliable CDR's however, i recommend trying any other brand name for CDRW's, and memorex 100-spindle for CDR's.

1.0 out of 5 stars It's not your CDRW drive -- It's these lousy Memorex CDRWs!, December 19, 2003

I've used Memorex CD-R's for a couple years with no problems, so when I went to purchase CD-RW's, I bought some of these. At first, I burned a few fine, but then later when I went to Erase them, they would not erase or they would become corrupted / undetectable to my Drive. And then sometimes I could not even burn them at all. It got to a point where I just kept pulling them out and trying them, new disc after new disc, and ALL would either have problems burning the 1st or 2nd time, or would not erase.
It puzzled me: my CD-R's still burned great! Why not these CD-RW's? I even contacted the tech support for my drive and they began thinking maybe a laser diode in my drive was bad...

Until I tried different brands of CD-RWs. First a few old Pengo 2x CD-RW I had from about 3 years ago... They were slow, but burned and erased fine. Then a Verbatim CD-RW, and a Fuji CD-RW. Hmm. These worked fine too.

My conclusion? Memorex CD-RW's are crap. Just read a few more reviews. The opinions found all over the 'net are the same: STAY AWAY FROM MEMOREX CD-RW'S.

Bought a box of 10 a few months ago, but they refused to work in both of my burners. Could not successfully write an iso image to them nor could I format with Drag-to-Disc. I spoke to Memorex, they sent me replacements in the mail. They still refused to work!! They ended up sending me another box, but this time they sent me Ultra Speed discs, still no luck!! Unbelievable. They finally refunded my money. Stay away from these discs until they get this mess straightened out!

1.0 out of 5 stars Memorex CD-RW Discs, May 3, 2004
This review is from: Memorex 700MB/80-Minute 4x CD-RW Media (10-Pack with Slim Jewel Cases) (Electronics)
I recently installed Easy CD Creator 6 and attempted to format several brand new Memorex CD-RW discs. All attempts on two different PCs with different burners (both with ECDC6) failed so it had to be either the software or the discs. I tried with a new Sony CD-RW disc and everything (formatting, burning) went smoothly. I am convinced Memorex CD-RW discs are fatally flawed.

1.0 out of 5 stars I should have checked out reviews first before buy, March 1, 2003

First time I ordered a Sony CD-RW drive online and I was excited to have something to burn. I went to BestBuy and grabbed some CD-Rs, and when I was looking for CD-RWs, I saw this 10 pack Memorex. It looks not bad and the price is nice, $10 for 10. most other brands cost $10 for 5. I bought it, thinking of getting a good deal. When I tried 4 of them that night, 3 of them seemed fail to be formatted or ereased. After that I thought my drive is defective, otherwise it should be able to format brand new discs. I then returned the Sony CD-RW drive, telling them the problem I had with the discs. After then, I ordered another CD-RW drive, latest model of TDK, 52x. The review suggested it's an outstanding model. When I got it and tried these Memorex. God! same thing happened. only 3 out of 7 which I opened can be written somehow. all others just can't either be fommatted, or written, or ereased. Now after I checked out many Memorex reviews online. I no longer doubt my drive. I will definitely try those real good brand like Sony, TDK next time when I need CD-RW discs

3.0 out of 5 stars Try something else, August 13, 2002

I bought a box of these cd-rws before i read the other reviews, and believe me, i kicked myself. I've gone through about 4 of them, and so far have had only one gripe. when i tried to erase one of the disc, it wouldn't erase. I tried two different programs, but neither could do it. Other than that, i so far haven't had any problems. But to be on the safe side, buy a different cd-rw.

These are GARBAGE!! Only two out of ten worked, and those two
would not erase! My recorder (top of the line Yamaha)told me
that the rest of them were not formatted or it just would not
see them.(also tried them in my Phillips recorder) I have
recorded hundreds of cd's with out any trouble before.
Again save your money and buy something else!

Bought one box two weeks ago, and half the discs would send my CD drive into convulsions when inserted. Bought another box a week later from a different location with the same result. Your experience may vary, but I can't recommend them.
