4.0 out of 5 stars Hadn't even noticed the logo
I've run through 25 of a 30 pack and hadn't even noticed the printing around the hub before reading these reviews. The lettering on mine appears to be light blue or grey and is faint, but is visible when you're looking for it. If you'll have printing there, I don't think its an issue, but if your background is mostly white, its a good thing to keep in mind with this...

3.0 out of 5 stars Almost a great product...
The sample Memorex printable CD-R that came with the Epson 900 printer worked great but then I bought the 30-pack -- only to find out that Memorex brands each disk around the center with the Memorex logo and the text "PRINTABLE CD-R 700MB 48x". For me that completely defeats the purpose! -- I want it too look like it came from a CD print house, not some hacker's...

For me that completely defeats the purpose! -- I want it too look like it came from a CD print house, not some hacker's basement. The branding totally stands out too, black on a white background that could easily not jive with your artwork. I was really disappointed. Other than that the printable CD-R technology is really great.

You can see what the labeling looks like on the photos I've uploaded.

Update (12/04/07): A recent repurchase of this, not from Amazon, yielded a different type of disc. The white coating was rough, and there was much more prominent printing on the white surface near the center. I returned those and ordered the 100 pack of this product from Amazon and got what I wanted; a slick white surface with barely visible labeling. I'm not sure if the bad ones were old stock, but ordering this product may be a crap-shoot in the future.

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding CD-R printable discs!!!, October 7, 2004
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Memorex 700MB/80-Minute 52x Printable CD-R (30-Pack Spindle) (Electronics)
I have been using the Memorex printable CD-Rs for over a year now, and they work perfectly. Printing on them is easy with my Epson CD printer, and the ink sticks good and dries fast. I have not had any problems with smearing ink after it has dried.

As far as the 'memorex log' brand on each CD, I really don't care. I'm not looking to make discs that look like they came from a print house, and it really isn't a big deal when you have a printed logo on the disc. (If you don't like this, then buy something else).

If you want a good realiable CD-R, I've used hundreds of the Memorex discs without any problems!

I love these plain white CDs. I use an inkpad and hand made stamps and personalize them and they look cool.

1.0 out of 5 stars Paperweights if you're on a Mac, December 10, 2009
This review is from: Memorex 700MB/80-Minute 52x Printable CD-R (30-Pack Spindle) (Electronics)
Of the 50 Memorex CD-Rs, my Macbook Pro was able to successfully burn approximately 8. This means 42 CD-Rs ended up in my trash can.

The package contained no warning about this. It wouldn't be worth the effort to pursue compensation but I hope others read this review and purchase CD-Rs from another maker.

The discs that I got were unbalanced and made my CD/DVD drive sound like it was tearing itself apart. Didn't bother returning them....just tossed them in the dumpster, where they belong!

does not work with the macbook pro or imac. tried 28 discs from 2 different packages bought months apart, with different burning programs on the two different machines- no go on a single disc. they are garbage if you are a mac user. try verbatim or taiyo yuden instead.
