High quality and low cost,
By
This review is from: Memorex 700MB/80-Minute 40x CD-R Media (Silver, 50-Pack Spindle) (Electronics)
These Memorex blank CDs are simply the best combination anywhere of high quality and low cost. Three factors make these discs stand out as your best buy:First of all, they are rated for burning at up to 16x, which is nice for those with fast CD-ROM burners. Sometimes you'll find that substandard media won't REALLY burn as fast as the label claims, which is very annoying. With these Memorex discs, however, I've NEVER experienced a problem with diminished burn speed. They cook perfectly at 16x every time. Second is reliability. Out of my last spindle I had NOT A SINGLE DEFECTIVE CD. Not one defective CD out of fifty blanks! Quite remarkable, considering that many blank CD vendors consider a 10-15% failure to be acceptable. Finally, the low cost of these excellent discs- just fifty cents each- is hard to beat... If you are in need of blank recordable CDs, look no further. You won't find a better choice anywhere.

Memorex is GREAT,

Over the past 6 months or so, I've bought 3 spindles from Memorex, and they've all been fine. I haven't had a problem with any of the CD's, and they play on all computers and stereos.. Memorex is also very easy to deal with if you have any problems.

In my opionion, Memorex has developed very high quality CDR for a good price compared to their competitors such as Sony and HP. This 80 minute Memorex CDR spindle is the best bang for the buck. I've tried the 80 min Memorex and have no problems with them. I wrote data onto about 40 of these 80 min CDRs are they were all perfect. Extremelly durable and reliable.

Never had any problems with this brand of CD-R, plus I find them to be an exceptional value. I have only had one error inthe 150 or so I have used. Great for both audio and data.

Overall a good value. I had only a couple of unusable discs in the spindle, a few caused by the fact that it is in a spindle rather than individual cases. Only one little gripe: That the bottom CD had some sort of quality inspection stamp on the data side of the disc! This made it unusable! Why not at LEAST put it on the label side? Still good discs at a decent price.

works well for music,

I've used the memorex 80 minutes to write data and music and have not had any problems with either one. I find it a very reliable media. I burn them with a Sony writer. The writer you use makes as much difference as the media.

This is a very good CD-R pack. The CDs themselves are good in quality, and the spindle is good for their storage. This is the only CD-R brand that I have been since the past 4 years, and I can safely say that I'm very satisfied with the quality, durability, and reliability of the Memorex 50 CD-R pack. I personally won't settle for any thing else. I just bought 6 packs so far within this year and am very satisfied, and therefore highly recommend this product for all your CD-R burning needs!

I know not all brands of CD-Rs work in all burners, in DVDs, or in all car players, and I know buying a spindle of 50 is a gamble, but the odds are definitely in your favor if you buy these. The only coasters I've made have been my own fault, and they work in my home CD player, my DVD, and both cars. Read the other reviews here and you will see that the bad reviews are few and far between, again putting the odds well in your favor. And at less than 50 cents each...

I've almost burned 75 of the Memorex discs, and have not had one "coaster" yet. The 700 MB limit is great, as well as the 16x speed capability. I can burn at 12x without any problems (I have a PlexWriter 12/10/32A). Plus, the cost is nice and low.

Personally, these cd's work just fine for me. I have a laptop w/ a built in cd burner and the quality is superb. Perhaps people who are having trouble with them use a diffrent software that I do- Adaptec Easy CD Creator 4. So, whatever, all of my friends with burners (18 to be exact) use Memorex cds, so 18 of us can't be wrong; we use software from Adaptec to iTunes and beyond. Granted, all of us have built-in R/RW drives. So, best of luck to y'all.
