I have been searching for a stereo system that had a turntable. I have owned two that are very nice-looking pieces of furniture, but the quality and reliability have been very poor. This system has excellent sound. My only complaint is that I have not been able to find a cabinet or stand for it. They are either made for turntables alone and therefore too small or for televisions and therefore too large.

The delivery of the stereo system was very timely. I received it before the scheduled due date. The sound on this stereo system is very good, no matter what your playing. The only problem I found with the stereo, is for some reason, a home made CD-R CD Disc will not play in it. A store bought CD plays very well. I still feel this stereo system was well worth the money, and was a great investment.

This is a good music system for anyone who is just looking for a way to listen and record music. The fact that you can record direct to cd is very good indeed, however, if you are an audiophile, this is not the stereo system for you, as you will not experience the thumping bass and highs that you will hear on a high - end stereo, true, it does give room filling sound in a small area but the bass is weak even when the eq. is engaged. I bought one of these ( not from Amazon ) because of it's recording capacity, but was disappointed with the sound so I got rid of it and bought a high - end stereo from sony as the sound quality of my music means a lot to me. Again, if you don't really care about sound quality this stereo is perfect as you can enjoy your music in all formats, although in my opinion this stereo is not worth $279 inspite of it's recording capabilities, it shouldn't cost more than $199 new, I have a boom box that sounds ten times better ! enjoy !

I wanted an affordable bookshelf stereo with a turntable. That's what I got. Its simple to use.
The unit was easy to set up except for the turntable lid, which I could not get mounted and the wire antenna was knotted so tightly that it took forty-five minutes to get it unwrapped.

The sound could be more dynamic but it sounds good.
The remote is easy to use.
The turntable doesn't have a lever to raise and lower the tone arm so you need a steady hand.
I've played a Harry Chaphin record "On the road to kingdom come" and it sounded great.
It will also play 45's and 78's.
I played Carmina Burana and George Strait on CD's and they all sounded good,
I'm glad I have it.
I live in a bad area for radio especially for FM but what I can get sounds good.

I read the reviews on this system prior to buying. I wanted something for my home office as my 15 yr old Akai system had problems with the CD player. So, I purchased this system. I was very disappointed in the quality. The speakers make a hissing sound when playing CD's and the overall sound from the speakers is tinny. If I could fix my old Akai I would go back to using it. It had wonderful sound and cost 1/2 the price of this system. If you are considering this system, please look at less expensive brands as you will get the same or better sound for a lot less money. The seller however, did ship in record time and I had no problems with the seller. Again, I feel I wasted a lot of money on this and am very regretful.

I'm disappointed because the CD player is not working correctly. It stops playing and starts again. then it stops all together and won't even change to the next CD. the radio is good but that's as far as I have gotten. Hopefully when I try the other components, they will work.
