These cases are exactly as advertised: 100 percent clear, full-size jewel cases, just like the ones used by the record companies. Easy to take apart, easy to reassemble.

I disagree with a previous review that these are fragile: Like all jewel cases, they may crack or break, but I've used several and none cracked when taking either the cover or the tray out.

I fully agree with the review that praises the small unit size; I, too, don't need piles of these things, just enough to replace cracked cases in my collection.

Great looking cases but when you try to remove the tray from the case to insert the artwork, you have to be really careful as the tray will crack. I have never run into this problem with any other jewel cases.

These cases are a thinner grade of plastic then the standard case your CD came in.

These are great for fitting all those coverless CD's I have. I didn't want to buy those mega-packs of jewel cases that come in numbers of 50, plus. This was a wonderful find to get in a small quantity.

I bought these to store my clear photo-polymer stamps in instead of leaving them on the flimsy thin pieces of acrylic that they come on. All you need to do is take out the insert that holds the CD and then you have two flat surfaces to which your stamps can adhere to just as well as the acrylic blocks used to stamp them with. Also makes it wonderfully easy to store them with a spine label for easy identification. No more fumbling in a drawer, box or binder. This is wonderful way to get organized and encourage yourself to utilize these stamps more readily. I am in the process of changing over many red rubber wood mounted stamps to the cling because I just love this storage method so much. No more digging through several boxes looking for the right stamp!

Oh and by the way sometimes you can find the cases in clear on both sides (important to see your stamps) without the CD insert. Also DO NOT try the slim line cases as they wont work. The back piece is the CD holder and even if you found one that is not that way they are too skinny to fit stamps on both sides and still close.

Not only are they EXACTLY what I needed, but here I am, months later making sure they are still available. I use them every time I receive a shipment, replacing whatever may have gotten damaged during shipment.
And...they are NOT that fragile, you just have to have " the touch.'

It seems like most jewel cases are fragile, and I had several CD's with broken cases. When these replacements showed up, two of the ten new cases were broken too. I still had enough to fix my CD's but they're pretty cheap. 4 of 5 stars is the same 80% useful cases I got, so that seems fitting.

I've ordered this item 4 times and always get about 1/3 cracked upon arrival. I'm not ordering this item anymore. The cases that are not cracked are pretty great.

After our last overseas move, we found that careless packers had thrown all our CDs together in a box, w/o any padding or wrapping. This resulted in ~30 cracked cases. I was happy that I could buy this pack of 10 to try (vs 100). They worked really well, so I bought 2 more packs to finish the job.

I would say that the quality/thickness of the cases is similar to what you get with new CD's now. Some of the older (cracked) cases that I replaced were definitely thicker, but were also slightly yellowing from age. I was very pleased with the quality of this product. (I'm even considering buying another pack to keep on hand as spares...)

The only caveat I would add is that it can be tricky to remove the tray (in order to put the artwork in the back). I didn't crack any of the trays doing it, though. Once I got the hang of it, it was quite easy (though my thumbnails definitely suffered as a result!) :-)

Wish Amazon carried the same product line with a double jewel case!

These Memorex CD/DVD (clear)jewel cases were exactly what I wanted. I received excellent service and will undoubtedly be ordering more. A good deal!
