Mine has been a lemon!,

I am normally a patient person and generally never write reviews but I have had such a terrible time with this particular item that I felt complelled to post my experience.I have had this clock radio for almost a year and it worked fine the 1st month... but then it started to have quirks. The 1st problem was that it didn't always read the CD. These were standard audio CDs that worked in every other machine I have. At 1st I thought it was a particular CD but I tried several and it refused to play any of them. After a few weeks, it started to read them again by some miracle. But ever since then it skips on CDs. Again, I thought it was a scratch on the CD. But I have tried dozens of CDs and they ALL skip. Now it skips every time I try to play a CD so I so longer use the CD player out of frustration. My other complaint is the radio reception. It (stinks). The radio has no antenna and I have to readjust it several times a day to keep the station somewhat in tune. Once I do get it in tune (aided by placing it on books, using makeshift antennas out of paperclips, etc.) and leave it, it phases out of tune without even touching it. After about half an hour, I realize the station is full of static and a readjustment is needed again. Often times, it becomes impossible so I just turn it off. So I can't decide what is more annoying - the CD skipping or the station never being in tune. One final note to be fair - my co-worker has the same exact radio and she has had no problems with either the radio or CD player. So maybe mine was just a lemon... but after reading the reviews for the other colors, it seems that my problems are prevalent in this model so BEWARE!!

I've had this CD player/Clock Radio for maybe three years now. I bought it at Target. And, well, it still works. It plays my CDs fine, the biggest flaw seems to be that although I have reset the clock time and time again, it always ends up back about 10 minutes too fast. It can also be hard to find the radio station you're looking for, because the tuning is a knob and not digital. Overall, not a bad deal for your $$, but you could find something better.

Everything works, but worth the price?,

Well, everything works on this item. I have not had any problems with the CD player or the time or the radio. The radio and CD quality are what you would expect. My complaint is with the buttons...you need to memorize the manual or keep it by the clock. It may be just because I only need an alarm once in a great while and by that time I have forgotten how the buttons work, but figuring them out by messing with the clock is difficult. The shape of this clock is odd also. And, if light bugs you at night, you'll need to keep this one on the floor or covered with a towel, gads. So, I deduct 2 stars. And I wonder if the [money] I spent on it was worth it.

I purchased this player for my office desk. The radio works well, is clear, and easy to use. I love listening to my choice of music with different CD's from time to time. It is compact, attractive, and well designed. I would recommend this product!
