Product Description

Amazon.com Product Description

Memorex's MD3026 is a perfectly compact and affordable CD player for home or travel. Playback options include 24-track programming, repeat (track or disc), and random play. An auxiliary output lets you hook the player up with a home stereo through a stereo "Y" interconnect (which is not supplied). A hold switch prevents unintended interruptions in playback and saves batteries by negating playback when the player is stopped. Auto power off kicks in one minute after playback has ended, an additional battery saver. The onboard digital-to-analog converter for the MD3026 uses 8x oversampling to render digital audio as smoothly and accurately as possible. Included for your listening pleasure are stereo-bar headphones and a 4.5-volt AC-DC adapter. The player runs on two AA batteries (not supplied).

1.0 out of 5 stars CRAP, February 23, 2003

This thing is flimbsy, there are no seconds on the display, and it sounds pretty bad. You should get a Phillips or Panasonic.

2.0 out of 5 stars Don't buy it for the AC adapter, January 11, 2003

This review is from: Memorex MD3026 Personal CD Player with 24-Track Programmable Memory (Electronics)
I got this for a great deal of [$$]. Unfortunately, I bought it thinking it would come with the promised AC adapter--no such luck. I am still deciding whether or not to return it. I can't comment on the sound, as I haven't opened it. I am rather disappointed with Amazon. I discussed the missing AC adapter with customer service weeks ago, yet they haven't bothered to update the description of it so that others do not buy the product on the false belief that it can run off of outlet power.

1.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Worst Sound, April 16, 2003
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Memorex MD3026 Personal CD Player with 24-Track Programmable Memory (Electronics)
I can't believe they let this one out of the factory. The hiss is incredible. A high-pitched squeal is always present. Also, the player doesn't always want to start. I thought it was bad batteries, but it isn't. Sometimes the player will start up without a glitch. Other times, I can't get it to play at all. This player isn't jostled around. It sits on a night stand. I know this was an inexpensive unit, but this travesty never should have been put on the market.
