The Memorex MD6440CP is a personal CD player which plays audio CDs, plus CD-R discs. The key feature to the MD6440 is the included car kit. This kit comes with a cassette adaptor and a cigarette lighter DC adaptor, the two necessary accessories to make any personal CD player vehicle-ready. The forty-second anti-shock system is a huge plus when using the player either in the car or at the running/walking track. In fact, this sort of anti-shock system is good for any user who may encounter surprise jolts and vibrations while commuting, sitting in a coffee shop or studying in bed. The MD6440 runs via the DC adaptor, the AC adaptor, or batteries. To help save battery life, Memorex provides a hold switch to discourage inadvertent CD operations. There is also a low battery alert to keep you up-to-date on battery life remaining. With multiple play modes (normal, repeat one, repeat all and shuffle) there are many options to listen to your favorite CDs. Other notable features include: resume, bass boost sound and a one-bit D/A converter. The color is a sleek, translucent silver, and the player comes with overhead style headphones.

This product is great. I got it today and i love it. The ESP is the best with it on it is impossible to make it skip. So for those who are looking at this product. It may be inexpensive but you get more than your moneys worth

I borrowed this cd player from one of my friends, and I loved it! It never skips, and the only bad thing about it is that it makes batteries die very quickly if you listen to a cd for hours at a time. I'm going to buy this cd player as soon as I can!

I had to order this item 2 times. The first time i got it it wouldn't play anything so I sent it back and ordered another one of the same kind.That one was working, until this summer where I would put in a CD and the display would say "Error" or --- To fix that sometimes it would work if I pushed the CD down really hard to make sure that it was securely on. But soon that wouldn't and I decided to send it back. If I were you and I was thinking about buying a MEMOREX product, expacially the MD6440CP model I wouldn't. Or maybe I just have bad luck.
